I think I know the joke you were going to but I would love to see that though. Certainly attainable, Sevilla are in no better shape than we are and we could probably offer more money. Would keep Pepe, Jose, Suso, etc happy as well.

What do people think of the unsubstantiated Hector Herrera rumours?

Don't know anything about him myself... surely like Osama he'd be another future prospect rather than in the first xi.

Even more likely nothing to the rumour.

Certainly would have spent enough time on the Spanish bench with Pepe. <ok>

as stupid as it may sound to some, i personally would rather Osama ahead of Downing right now.

for me he doesn't add a lot and is holding back potential in Osama and Sterling who are unpredictable and look exciting.

never heard of this player, although the name Hector sounds familiar, i know some players use first names and not surnames, so he could be one of these type of players, but think your right in another squad player.

Assaidi will feature more and is not really a future prospect as he is 24 and already been playing professionally for a while. The Herrara kid is young, I think 20 so that could be a different story.

I should know more about them but I know he was important to Mexico's Olympic run.

Thought it was United in for H. Herrera.

Wish we were being linked to Ander Herrera.

May well be... the president of Pachuca says we want him. That could just be to prod untied into spending more.

Brazil international attacking midfielder Kaka, 30, has been offered to Manchester United on a season-long loan as Real Madrid prepare for the arrival of Luka Modric.

    I'd take this as well!!

Funny how that happens, wasn't long ago Torres was worth 50 mil.

I'd still take Kaka in a heartbeat. He would help us unlock some difficult teams, another creative player and on loan, what bad does it do? Hell would make us some tidy profit as well.

Looks like we're favourites to land Adam Johnson again ...

Looks like Scott Sincair is on his way to City which I guess would mean the end for Johnson. Don't quite understand City's signings of Rodwell & Sinclair and only thing I can think of is they need to get their home grown quota up. Can't see him geting in the team ahead of Silva, Nasri, Tevez, Aguero, Ballotelli.

Also I have him in my fantasy team at work and can't make transfers so chances are he won't play and get me 0 points <grr>

Also rumours that sahin deal broken down due to gooners wanting option to buy clause. Like the Johnson rumours, but think I'd prefer dempsey if it were an either/or. Plus we still need a striker

Adam Johnson is a good player, but I don't think he's what Liverpool need right now. I understand the desire to replace Downing (who I would actually be more interested in at Fulham than Charlie Adam...), but if Carroll is going to be frozen out I think it's obvious where the money should be spent.

Could do with a name like Kaka, just to put some fear into other teams. Although, his injuries and such like, might make him not too effective.....on loan though, not so bad.

The problem will be with his wages which are reported to be in the region of £200k plus.
