aggh i like McLean i really do , i put it down to his workrate and probably down to how much i want him to do well .
I liken him to when i used to watch my son play rugby for West Hull a few years ago , not good enough for the team but wanting him to just play.

as a fan id probably pick him - as a manager i might want to sleep on it a bit more :D

I know I'm in a tiny minority but I have no idea why and that's why I say it. He does it almost every game he plays, even Ferriby and Winterton. For every post I make about Fryatt there are 3 threads where I refrain from bringing it up because I know people don't like it. He won't be playing tomorrow so we should have something else to talk about but if he walks back into the team for the next game and misses 3 one on ones I'll point it out again And the chances are it'll be someone like Simpson who plays a blinder tomorrow and then gets dropped for Fryatt <steam>

How true

Great post.

It's a forum, we discuss our opinions on what's right and wrong with the team, we don't have to pretend everyone is Pele, just because they play for us.

I will answer the question, Mclean wouldn't be in my starting XI.

And McShane wouldn't even make my bench.

That's not moaning, it's giving my opinion on who should make the team, that's what we do on forums.

However you dress it up it's moaning, if there was a Gold medal at the Olympics for whinging and moaning we'd have 2 gold post boxes and a whole forum of people parading around at half time at the KC.

Discussing players is fine, perpetually slagging them off isn't, it's not productive. You even have people scrabbling around for stats to prove how **** our players are? FFS it's a joke.

Players more than likely read these forums, I'm sure they're delighted to see what encouragement our fans give them. It'll make them want to train harder, run that extra yard, I am sure.

The post you quoted was talking about far more than just goals.

Yes but most people are criticising him for not scoring enough goals, I was highlighting there was more to his game than that.

What else is there to his game? His touch is poor, his flick on's go to nobody and he's easily out muscled. A good work rate doesn't count for much if the work he's doing is ****e.

Don't get me wrong, I'll cheer for him when he's on the pitch, but picking him ahead of certain others is just madness.

I can't see his avatar as he's on my ignore list. I'm assuming it's a photo of a prick?

Nothing to add to the debate so you turn to name calling. Another school kid.
Not even got the balls to read or discuss my posts.
Big man my arse
