    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2012/08/my_premier_league_2012-13_pred.html

Phil has us 9th... With teams who have signed very little ahead and just behind. Everyone seems to think Europa is going to horrendous for us... Anyway, here's my prediction for the final league table:

    1. Man City
    2. Man Utd
    3. Arsenal
    4. Chelsea
    5. Spurs
    6. Newcastle
    7. Liverpool
    8. Fulham
    9. QPR
    10. Sunderland
    11. Swansea
    12. Stoke
    13. Norwich
    14. Aston Villa
    15. Everton
    16. West Ham
    17. Reading
    18. Wigan
    19. West Brom
    20. Southampton

    Rival watch:
Spurs- Above Spurs have signed one class midfielder, but with VDV playing the same position, it'll be interesting to see if he scores as frequently as he did for the Swans.
Liverpool- Have signed some very respectable players for respectable amounts this window (which comes from the fact BR has managed in the champiosnhip, not consistently moved from cash-rich to cash-rich like Dalgy), Think it will be very close this year between them and us, but that the Scousers may have a nightmare of a start looking at some of their fixtures.
Fulham- Nothing particularly insightful for me to say, other than that I like Martin Jol and respect him as a manager (I'll let him off unleashing a certain miracle half-time team talk against us).
QPR- Lots of exciting signings for the Rangers to look forward to, but seem light in defence to me. Watch out for Diakite, I'm telling ya!
Sunderland- MON is a class manager, and though I think they'll be in for a rough ride the first few weeks (losing wise, rather than scoreline), once Martin has brought in a few (will happen or he will walk) and got them settled, they at least make top half for me.

    Selected Others:
Norwich- Wish Chris Hughton well, hopefully not a tough season for him!
Villa- McNulty has them 8th. My nudger will they finish 8th... Unless they have the Bent they paid for from Sunderland back this year, they are in for another blue year.
Everton- My surprise contenders for a shocker of a season. At least one club has to have one (hopefully not us)...
Baggies- With any luck we'll get the double over them for once... Maybe not, but I think they could be in for a bad one.

I think Spurs could really suffer under AVB.

I'm reasonably confident that the two Mans and Chelsea will be the teams to beat. I can see any of us, Spurs, Lieverpool, Arsenal, and Everton either having a storming season or spinning out badly

Don't know why you've deleted your comment dear, it's perfectly plausible Spurs could have a bad run this year, because AVB didn't have the best of times at Chelsea and didn't really have flexibility to his approach <ok>

He struggled in the dressing room with the big egos, which is a vital part of football management, in contrast to Di Maty seemingly just let Terry pick and manage the team. I think the latter approach can only last so long, and I really don't see Roberto lasting that long this year if Chelsea get off to a bad start (after their opening winnable fixtures). AVB should suit Spurs better, though, because they have more youth and less egos.

Think you should have a go at predicting the league table DT

Most of them are ex-Liverpool though... And whatever Phil McNulty is...

Pretty sure they're fine with making predictions that are crap, rather than licking the stuff Tash.

Used to love Lee Dixon on the beeb, he was my favourite out of the lot of them. The rest are dull or idiotic. Football Focus will be like a drunken male's version of Loose Women...

Southampton bottom? They've just spent 11 million on Gaston Ramirez, quality player. I'd be amazed if they finished right down there.

HAVE THEY?! The lad that half the league has been touted for? I really need to pay more attention. Still, I have a weird feeling about it <ghost>

I shall stick with my predictions and post it again at the end of the season if it's hilariously bad enough <laugh><ok>

I'm waiting to pass judgement about AVB, he was up against it at Chelsea, RDM now has that unenviable task.
I've a feeling Chelsea will replace their manager if they don't get off to a flying start.

I'd be more confident making predictions if the transfer window closed before the season kicked off, it gets a little disruptive.

Oh crap... Literally, it'll be everywhere... Ol' granda' Mick Mc-arrr-thee is alright, dull, but alright and I respect him... but saggy-chops talked enough waffle as a manager. Hopefully he gets twitter so I can call him a wheeler-dealer!

Weirdly I think Jamie Redknapp is alright. Sometimes a bit "follow the crowd", but he seems fairly intelligent.

The two Manchester clubs to be first and second but I think we could be in the hunt for third.

There's not a lot between Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and ourselves.

Lets hope we get it altogether and show the world what we can do.
