I see they start on zero points, so when they get the 10 deducted, they can winge how they are being unfairly treated by the FL, all over again.

Cut the BS and give them a 10 point deduction at the start of the season! Rules are rules.

Oh come off it! The Football League have made it quite clear that its only a stay of execution and the 10 points will be deducted the second we come out of administration. Nobody is going to complain about "being treated unfairly by the FL". And if they do then I will be the first person to tell them to piss off and get over it!

I was expecting a stampede of complaints following this announcement, but the Southampton fans have been pretty reasonable in the main.

It looks like the crooks have all gone and the field is left open to the fans.

If the PST do succeed in owning Pompey then we should all give them a round of applause and wish them well except for the usual proviso.

In a rather sadistic way I have enjoyed their suffering, especially the boys on the News site, but for them to lose their club is unthinkable.

There is a long way to go yet but you have to admire the PST's pluck and determination.

I have to say it would be great for Pompey to survive and in the short term be owned by the fans. It is going to be a long haul but at least you survived as a club to begin your journey.

That's because we understand the rules.

The second CVA was related to not paying the first one. Technically a new owner could come in and honour the 2010 CVA, thus rendering the 10 point duduction obsolete. Leeds got 15 extra and that was applied when they left admin, not before.

The league will impose what ever terms they want for the return of the Golden share, and as Leeds found out it is not possible to appeal those terms.

WTFILN

pompey being owned by fans is just a stay of execution, i would not be surprised if they went back into administration again within a few months of taking control. they will go under, why not just liquidate now and start afresh?

This

The twisting of the rules to sign double figure of month loanees, the additional cost of these as against revenue, the underfunded bid even if the pledges are honoured - I could go on - show that lessons have not been learned and that, whilst meant from the heart, the PST plan is hideously underfunded and lacking in acumen.

The FL should do the decent thing and withold the golden share and put the whole sad saga to an end more and more skates I speak with would prefer the phoenix option...anything else is tainted, underfunded or owned by Chanrai.

Looks like the players have to agree to take another hit. The agreed compromise agreements total £8 million, PST have only budgeted £2 million for this. New deadline is 24th August. If I was a Portsmouth fan I would be against the PST at the moment. It would be far better to acknowledge the fact that Portsmouth are bust, liquidate the club and move on with a new one. They now have a year to get everything sorted. Who knows, they may even be able to start in the BSS in 2013/14, and with their level of support they would be back in the league in 2-3 years tops.

I have read a article by a person that claims to be part of the trust, has said they only received 2000 pledges in all. (I don't know how many have paid in full)

Woosh! WTHDGTJ!

The only reason I can think of of postponing the deduction is that if they go bust at some point this season, then the -10 would be irrelevant, and if they pull through then the -10 would be relevant because they are still in existance and would make a big difference in their performance this season.

Was less than 2,000. They had to disclose the real number in the loan application to the council and I think it was something like 1,700.

Good start for a "trust" to be bullshitting about its number of paying members. They won't be anymore democratic or transparent than the previous owners.

I wonder how much of the money from todays attendance will go to paying off some of the small creditors? Answer = zero. It will go on players wages and the Administrators fee.

Think you will find the pledges / ST money has increased greatly since BC pulled out ...............

I think he knew that would happen and he will do a deal with pST , but that's a different story ...........
