Interesting one, personally I would cash in and mug QPR. (I don't want another Morison debate though, just my opinion)

If we are to believe everything in the press we will only have Holt and Jackson up front next season. Can't see Moro leaving if Vaughan is really on his way unless we are bringing in a couple which I doubt.

Isn't he a bit young to play for QPR?

Have to say it would take one hell of an offer for me to move from Norfolk to either Brum or Boro.

    Why would we sell Morison?

    hmm, concerning.

strikes me that hughton is trying to rake in funds. there may or may not be any truth in this story but combined with the vaughan rumours i suspect this is more than just paper talk with regards us trying to offload one of our forwards.

i know he splits opinion but really we should not sell him for anything less than £5m - that is his worth to us, absolute minimum. he's a proven top flight striker, whose form only dipped when playing with an injury. i think it would be suicidal to sell him but who knows what hughton may have up his sleeve. one thing is for sure, the clubs linked to him aren't going to be paying £5m for him...

well, qpr might! where are liverpool when you need them...? <laugh>

Shame we let Crofts go so quickly - had we held out no doubt Liverpool would have thrown £15m in our direction for him!

Cos if we sell Morison, Martin, Vaughan, then we can buy Rhodes. It's all part of the masterplan

this actually is quite valid and just goes to show how much he is over valued! we'd have to sell three good strikers just to get one in. even then, i doubt it would be enough <laugh>

I'm confused as to why Hughton feels he needs to rake in funds. We were all told that this season we would spend more money than ever before. I would imagine we have spent around £5m so far so unless Hughton is looking to smash our transfer record on one player, why would he need to bring more funds in, as surely we still have around £7m left in the budget?

Can't see us being in for him in al honestly. Far too young and not WCT (World Class Talent) unlike our preferred target Del Piero who is the right side of 50 and a Global Player

Nope its just the usual pre-start crap the media love to throw about.

i do think people overestimated how much we had to spend though!

if you think we've spent about £4.5m already this summer in fees alone, we've probably got about the same amount left to spend on fees. there is no way he would spend every penny available to him this season during the summer alone - he'd have to keep some back for january too in case we desperately need more investment.

I can't see how we will spend another £5m unless its all splashed on one or two players, so if its true that we are looking to offload Morison, we will surely be spending £5m or more on one player alone.

    makes sense.

personally doubt this particular rumour is true. i mean, i'm sure there are teams tracking morison, he's a good player, but i don't think we'll sell. more substance to the vaughan rumour...

Would not be surprised if he goes he has been undervalued by fans ever since he arrived he is a proven PL striker and works damn hard no damn Jordan Rhodes will ever replace his goals and physical threat it was his golden patch last year that woke Holty up and got him moving

With our recruitment strategy who knows? We've got the following strikers listed already Cisse, Zamora, Johnson, Bothroyd, Hulse, DJ Campbell, Hoilett and Mackie. Morison would be doing a lot of benchwarming
