True but you know what I mean, people see players differently when they have been part of a trade that saw one of your better players leave.
Who was possibly in the Alonso deal? Was it Guti maybe? ONe of the deals we had done recently had an option for a player and we turned it down.
In my latest game ( started it over after got a bit boring) I brought in Loic Remy, Matias Fernandez, Sami Khedira, Adam Maher ( young wonderkid), and Pablo Aimar. Got rid of Carroll, Downing, Adam, Hendo, Kuyt, and Maxi. We shall see if business is good. I kept a big chunk of the transfer kitty available so if January rolled around I could get another player in if need be.
I'll be fuming if we sell Agger no problem shifting on the older players who won't get games but our best defender? Surely even we aren't that ****ing stupid...what sort of message will it send to the other players as well? Play with heart and soul..love the club...and we'll still **** you off anyway
I agree Agger is a top player and he loves the club, If this is true then I hope he just turns down the move.
LFC NewsRoom ‏@LFCNewsRoom #MCFC have had their FINAL bid for #Agger turned down this morning. #MCFC have pulled out of the deal, #Agger will remain at #LFC
Rumours are definately picking up now - Indy Kalia (From Twitter - pretty reliable) has said that a player from Spain will be joining. The deal is moving pretty quickly. He also goes onto say that he doesn't know who it is or if it's a loan deal but people in the club are very excited. Don't normally believe stuff on Twitter unless they're are proper journalists but Indy Kalia is on par with the likes of Duncan Jenkins when it comes to exclusives. Usually pretty reliable.
I've bought Remy and Aimar in the past but never seem to get on with them. Khedira is decent but is old all his value drops season by season. I usually do a search with the maximum age at about 24 for attacking player and 27 for defenders. As soon as I get a decent budget I blow my load on Cavani
Last week, I was in the sell him for the right price camp. This week, I am firmly in the don't sell him at any cost camp. The first statement is thinking with my head, the second is with the heart. The sensible decision is easy in my eyes, he has averaged fourteen games a season for us, that is a very poor return and given the option of £30m or Agger he simply has to go. People say selling him will disrupt the team, but if he stays he will disrupt the team regardless because of his injuries. However, should Rodgers find a way of keeping him fit, Man City should be told to **** right off PS - not keen on Adam Johnson anymore either. Wanted him prior to Rodgers becoming manager but with the way Brendan likes his teams to play, i don't see Adam Johnson fitting in, too lazy when it comes to defending
I've been a fan of aimar's for a long long time he is usually a buy always for me. I like Remy so far, for some reason I didn't liek Damiao at all. Llorente is a straight up G though.
I like Aimar too, just not on Fifa. He was another one that Rafa wanted but a certain Rick Parry stopped from happening I don't get on with Llorente either. I play quick passing football and score very few headed goals, prefer someone like Anelka or Torres to a Llorente or Carroll. Stick a bit of pace and creativity either side of the front man in either a 433 or 4231. An older player I quite often buy is a former red who...Bruno Cheyrou, the next Zinedine Zidane
I play the quick stuff too but LLorente can do it all. I rarely score on crossing and headers, in fact I think it might ahve happened 2x in any of my career modes.
Do you play as player-manager...? I do and I'm usually in the "Gerrard role" in the 4231. If I play 433 then I put me on the left of the midfield three so I can ping one or two from outside the box
Used Christian Eriksen or Thiago Alacantra yet? Both are seriously good. The best striker I've used is Shrewsbury's Tom Bradshaw, no joke.
I've tried to get Erikson but he cost about £40m+ which is ridiculous, I'd only spend that sort of money on the main striker. Who is Thiago Alacantra...?
Had Thiago on loan with a buy-out close at the end of the season but forgot about it during the season and didn't ahve the dosh to do it!!!! He was awesome for me as well. With that team I had Soldado, Ronaldinho, Thiago, Kagawa, Diarra, Sakho, Lugano, Monreal, along with most of the current team. It was awesome.
The 20yr old Barca midfielder? He's a big talent. Yeh you basically have to buy him first season - with computer growth he becomes insanely valuable. Better yet; play as Ajax, it's good fun (everyone is **** compared to you). He's a great player - fast, agile, good passer, 5 star weak foot, balanced; everything I like. Kagawa is insane.
Anyone else enjoy the transfer window and building a side more than actually playing the game...? I end up starting a new game every time I turn it on!
