It will be immensely satisfying if we beat West Ham to his signature.

Jarvis would be ideal for west ham. With their target men style play they need good crossers

With Lambert and Rodriguez he'd be more than useful for us too.

I'm clearly bias, but I see Jarvis as more of a Southampton type player

If the Phillips story is true then I can't see us going for both Jarvis and Phillips

We apparently beat them to Clyne, and their fans were immensely disappointed. :p

Doesn't Jarvis normally play on the left and Phillips on the right?

I've seen them both play on both flanks, but they're both right-footed.

Phillips played mostly on the left last season, with Ince on the right. I think both him and Jarvis would be equally comfortable on either side.

Yes but at the moment we're playing Rodriguez on the left and Punch n' Guly on the right. We're not gonna replace Rodriguez after breaking our transfer record on him, there's absolutely no need for both.

Both play both sides. Depends what you want from them. Jarvis is left footed, Phillips is right footed.

Of the two , I'd prefer Jarvis, always looked good quality to me, and has put in some good performances in the Prem. The right hand birth does seem to be the priority, as Dan says, Jay Rod has his left position. But what was Buttner, a replacement for Fox, competition or left mid?

That makes a chenge. Other fans are usually offended that a player has chosen us over THEM.

Why not sign both if the price is right, tbh our wings are one of our weaknesses .

Allen is way overpriced, 10 million at most. Typical Liverpool.

I don't think he is hugely overpriced. He will fit into Liverpool's style of play very nicely. They have a decent chance of getting into the Champions League places. It's going to be another great season in the PL - a lot of teams have a chance of getting in the top 4.

Liverpool will do well to finish in the top 7.
