I said he ISN'T that good. It's not a summary of his whole Saints career, it's an assessment of his value to the team at present. I agree, he could do a decent job in the Championship if he found the right team, but it'd be for a team that's happy to be in the Championship, not one that's a serious contender for the Premier League. There are plenty of League One strikers who are technically better than Lee Barnard.

That's a good point, I forgot about the different currency. Also it could be lower if he hands in a transfer request, apparently they bought someone in his position who is better so they shouldn't be too keen to keep hold of him.
