I don't think I've ever actually taken a boot to the nuts. I've been hit in the nuts, and had a football kicked in the nuts (not very hard, but still hard enough to knock the breath out of me) so I can't imagine what a full on bollock punt feels like

Well, I can tell you that it is horrific. I was once kicked full-on in the nuts playing football, when I went to close down someone´s shot. The guy was hoping to absolutely smash the ball clear but sliced it and the momentum of his was boot was halted by smashing itself against my nut sack.
For a few seconds I actually think I passed out as I don´t remember hitting the ground but opening my eyes and being told polity to "get the **** up" by a team mate because the ball was still in play and the game was still continuing. Obviously I was incapable of moving so I just lead there in the middle of the pitch, in so much pain, hoping that someone was going to kick the ball out of play. When the ball eventually got kicked out, I was carried off the pitch where I sat and vomited at least 3 times.... I was later taken home and unable to train for 10 days. <ok>
