http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7931930/Owls-given-winger-warning He'd be good I think.
Is this the five minute argument or the full half hour? your guy is great ...he is bound to score forty goals this season..no danger...now go and relax...your season is assured..
your welcome...I get bored with the .."our players are better than yours"stuff....just wait till the season starts ..then we will all know..
but thats upfront. Look at Adomah- **** but a little form and all of a sudden he is worth a couple of millon!
McLean was a crap version of Darius Vassell While they work hard and play for the team But they just arent good enough
Agreed, he's not good enough to be in the championship and he certainly wasn't worth £1.2m. Work rate is bullshit, i could run around for 90 minutes occasionally fluffing chances, but I wouldn't get in at Hull. Maybe Alloa or Annan Athletic...
Yeah but what people are forgetting is that if these pace men had an end product then they would be in the premiership.
But what is the point of having a fast attacking player if they can't pass or shot when they have the ball? I'd rather have a player with no pace than can finish, like Nugent. Ideally, you want someone with decent pace and finishing ability, like Marshall and, potentially, Beckford.
Nugent has tried in the prem with Portsmouth and Burnley and pretty much failed. I dont think he will ever make it at premiership level but he is a top end striker at this level I have said before if Lloyd Dyer had better end product he would be in the prem
The point is that the pace can get them into great positions. Pace men in the championship will always be frustrating as if they had end product they would be in the premiership.
You look at some of the best players at this level over the years Rickie Lambert, Andy Carroll, Mark Noble, Kevin Nolan, Peter Whittingham, Grant Holt, Wes Hoolahan, Jay Rodriguez, Danny Graham to name a few They wasnt exactly fast
^ yes. Thats the point. They have the ability but not the pace. Others have pace but not the ability. If they have both then they are in the premier league.
Yes, get into good positions...and then give to away or shoot off target. Skillful players will always make space for themselves, even if they haven't got pace.
I dont think you understand my point. My point is that every team needs pace in it somewhere. Pace players with end product are in the premiership as thats a complete player.
