Sorry Irdan but Simon Thomas has tweeted the good news too, together with signing Butterfield it's becoming a great day.
The best outcome IMO. Six million quid would be a good price but when you see what some of the overrated t***ts go for better to keep someone you know can deliver the goods.Bet his family didn't fancy Londonistan anyway.
i wouldn't have changed it anyway mate. he's a norwich legend - i see no reason to change whether he's here or not
I think I can sleep a little better tonight following that news Now, where are all those opposing fans that were spouting we would be in deep **** WHEN Holt leaves?
he's my choice for that role but it's all gone quiet our end on that one. lambert is sniffing about though...
It's weird how suddenly he is legend again, I am chuffed and he is back in my good books. Sometimes you can't help but be fickle!
He was never out of my good books, I think he was given some bad advice along the way of how to handle the whole thing to be honest. Even if he had of left he is still a legend and I have respect for him for the way he has worked his way up through the leagues. There were no doubt clubs out there willing to pay him far more than what he has settled for with us so there is an element of loyalty there as well, just sounds like he wanted more security for his family and being a father myself I can understand that.
Pretty much sums up what I said a few days ago. I wonder if he still has a 'Payne' in the ****, or if he's got himself a new agent??
Done it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't worry i will get another one. At least you boys know what his real motivation is, and its not your club or you the fans! I suppose the next goal he scores he will kiss the badge #normal2facedfootballtosser
Would love to get him, is the stand out contender for me if we continue to pursue young British talent. However I guess their is the possibility we would look for more experience or look abroad as well.
fact is, he's been badly advised. true, his reputation with us fans has taken a knock but didn't rooney do the same at united? unfortunately its the way of the football world these days. if he scores on opening day, i'll be going nuts and singing his name as if nothing has happened - would love to know if his wages have gone up though or whether it is just an extra year... that might change our minds a bit, not that we'll ever find out. most important thing is that we aren't weakened and the signing of butterfield, which is being overshadowed somewhat, is the real masterstroke here
I do seem to remember a poster saying he knew Holt was leaving and he will be back v shortly when he does. Where is he know?
