Couldn't make it up could you, a point of debate being played out on tv, with Spain chucking the rule book out the window! At least Torres has scored supporting the age old theory! 


As far as I can see Spain's formation was actually 2323. Most of the time the two full-backs were ahead of Busquets, and Alonso and Xavi were a bit ahead of them with the three front players being very high up the pitch. Impossible to defend against a team with passers in every position though.
Spain are an exception to the rule imo, a one off, any ideas to emulate this group of players wouldn't work as well.
Ive never felt convinced with Russian players living up to their potential in the PL.

It would certainly take a lot of work, time, and of course, some exceptionally talented players. As Chavski have found out, that's not easy to do - no matter how much money you chuck at it.
