Below the age of criminal responsibly, LOL, that is 10 years old, for a second I thought you were trying to state that I am younger than that.

 I was just commenting about the part where you said about criminal responsibilities, I thought you meant the age you can be convicted at.

Can I add in light of these recent allegations upon Hoadie, that I respect his mis-guided views in stark comparison to that of the dreaded Facebook wall. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the facebook wall is saturated with criticism of SCally, with some even stating that a demonstration should happen in the first game and some others suggesting we should form a AFC Gillingham. Not sure that these are really Gillingham fans but this forum at least helps restore some faith that real Gillingham fans exist.
In Hoadie we trust.

Hoadie would you like to make a closing statement before the jury makes its verdict?

I don't do Facebook - what is the gist about the criticism ? If it's because of the delay in the appointment of a new manager, then I feel that there are exceptional circumstances. Primarily the budget followed closely by McCammon. In all seriousness (despite my stupidity tonight), Mr Scally has a difficult job to do in selecting the next manager.

Basically they just keep saying Scally is milking the club dry etc, the usual garbage. I have argued repetitively to try and talk some sense into them but have become apathetic. What's alarming is the amount of fans who agree with these idiots. How can you really love the club if you want the club to go bust and start again just to get rid of a Chairman who has provided one of the best budgets in league 2?! Beats me.

Thanks for the info.
Scally might be an enigma ( actually that's me ) - but without him the club would have folded in the mid 90s and Priestfield Stadium Mews would have been built.

As soon as the argument is resolved (or at least partially resolved) on the facebook page it all starts over again with another person not looking at what was previously discussed. I've joined another page on there that seems to be a bit more sensible but it's not as quick as anything that appears on here, ha! take that facebook! It's like commenting on any kent online article, trolling for the sake of it I'm afraid.

Do we all reckon the appointment will take place before Thursday? I know the verdict and it's timing are a factor but Scally said that he hadn't finalised his choice, it may still take some time for contracts to be sorted.

Yeah I have seen that on the Gillingham forum on facebook and it does my head in, there is always idiots on there every day, without Scally coming in at the club we would be no where, I don't think the people on that forum understand what he has done for the club, they all look for negatives and I can do nothing but praise the man, he has put everything into the club that he can and if he wants to live him Dubai then let him, it is not all about Leisure and anyone with a brain would work that out, what do these fans expect, they are starting to annoy me as much as the ones on Kent Messenger, why do we have to call them fans?.
Just to add when you comment on there and say something against what they have to say they get all defensive and normally tell you to go away in one form or another.

Always right, thanks for pointing that out, I have just changed the body of the comment fully, as I said earlier it is another one of those days, had 1 or 2 this week, maybe next week will be better.
off now anyway.
Oh I thought you were just pointing out my mistake, I see now you posted something before me which was similar, I did not see that as I was writing and I had not refreshed the page for a while as I have been reading something for the past hour.

To these people, any praise or back up of Scally would result in having phrases such as "brainwashed" or "not having the club's best interest at heart." All you get is insults which don’t make it worth debating. Trying to talk to these people is about as useful as telling Hoadie the difference between a comma and a full stop! <cheers>

Agree with you there except on the comma bit. I know I do use the comma alot but that is because I want to make sure I break up what I am saying. Back on the subject I think we should start a group which is in favour of Scally, that would show them that not everyone agrees with them. It is about time some people showed more respect for what Scally has done for the club, he is the owner so let's say if he wants to take money out the club then he can he is not bleeding the club dry.
Have they not thought that maybe he has had to cut spending at times to make sure he maintained the finances at the club. If you keep spending you are going to get into trouble.
In Scally we trust.

I saw your Hoadie thread and decided it was my bedtime, I thought I could mop up any carnage in the morning but it all seems calm, which is good.

...........

As for Paul Scally, without him we would not have had a club, simples. As for Facebook and that Kent paper column, I do not go there to post and probably could count my visits on one hand, so hence do not entertain those opinions.

Funny enough her-indoors sometimes finds the comments quite entertaining to read and I keep saying stop reading that rubbish! She never takes any notice. So I guess it has its amusement value if your not on the receiving end of it. I was in the past directed to that Facebook page (which I did not know existed at the time) by a twitter user who was defending PS. Firstly it took me ages to find it and then for what I saw it appeared to be two people on my visit who were the instigators. I did not get involved.

Opinions, should come with respect to other posters, also with a degree of respect to the topic being discussed. So I am very tired of the Scally out brigade. Show me 2-3k people with the same views backing your protest and I might sit up and take them a bit more seriously but it still would not change my views at this moment in time.

I can remember the Dover/Wycombe period of backlash and it was not nice to witness. There was some (very angry) young men ranting absolutely every verbal expletive you could imagine. It makes me feel sad to see that.

Looking across the whole network of social media places to discuss Gillingham FC, they are all clearly broken into their separate bands of taste, opinion and varied rules of conduct. I enjoy our particular site as it is and the standard of expression within it.

Anyway, I've gone and drifted off topic now.

WOW.......697 replies and 19495 views........and the Gills are still no nearer a Manager.......it must be getting very stressful.........I've got an answer......when next season starts.........find out where your Red Bus pick-up is in Gillingham and you could all go down the VALLEY and watch Championship football.

Its a good job I put my Tin helmut on before posting this........I'm only jocking... brb.........it will all come together soon and 99% of you will of guessed wrong.......best of luck......I can assure you it aint half as stressful as administration.
