Cant believe everyone on here who would welcome him back. Have you got short memories the way be mucked us about and strung the club along.

Opening old cans of worms and all that....but he really didnt **** us about and people need to get over it. It is a complete myth, he NEVER had any intention of signing for us and made that clear all along to those who counted. The only ones who strung it along were Brown and Duffen to try and reinforce their images and to a far lesser extent his dad who simply kept his options open exactly as he should.

I'm sorry, but that just isn't true.

I read reports in the Hull Daily Mail containing direct quotes from both Campbell AND his father, both when he went off to the U-21's tournament AND when he went off on holiday, both stating that a return to City was still a possibility and that it would be decided when he returned.

Now you can claim the Hull Daily Mail misquoted them if you like but those things were printed in the media.

That's another reason why he probably wouldn't fancy it, along with the fact he's just too good for the championship.
If his former manager could persuade him to come for a few months however then yes please, we wouldn't have to worry about scoring goals that's for sure.
Yes, he certainly messed us about, BUT without the Campbell/Windass partnership we wouldn't have gone from a mid table championship side to play-off winners.

I get your point Tigers40 - I kind of feel the same way but when he messed us about it was his dad pulling the strings. The question for me is do we want a quality player at the club who has a track record of attacking play and is in the right stage of his career. The answer has to be yes - knock in a few and we'll all forget about the past. I would have a question over his recovery from injury and how prone he is going to be to knocks. We would need to be able to get long stints out of him.

I quite agree. Whilst it is most likely purely academic and something of a mute point .......... but as someone posted recently that maybe the Allams are taking a different economic tack ...... who knows?

It is kinda interesting to think about Heskey up front holding up to play of to BOTH Fryatt and Campbell!

I havnt got the computer skills to know what you are on about. What the hells an IP mask?

It stops Scoots and Dutch finding out who you are from your IP Adress by assigning you a random IP address from a redirection host site.

And chill, I was only jossin with you about Not606. However, how am I supposed to know you are in fact the infamous sunn40 from your Not606 username "tigers40"?

Actually, I suppose I could say Ian Waterson is a nob, and see who bites!! :emoticon-0116-evilg , er, that was an attempt at humour just in case The Acme Thunderer should ever venture away from CI.
