A couple more unlikely ones from football rumours: 23 Jun 2012 09:14:33 Hull City striker Matt Fryatt is in line for move, with Millwall and Bristol City leading the chase. 23 Jun 2012 12:05:04 Bristol City set to sign 20 year old Jonjo Shelvey on a 3 month loan deal from Liverpool. The deal will be completed on Wednesday or Thursday. He's previously played for Charlton and had a loan spell last season with Blackpool.
Why don't you wait and see if Del, turns out to be better! **** me he was not the man for the job last season with you, he kept us up! Now your lining up the next manager
This is the lad who scored against us: 23 Jun 2012 16:44:39 Bristol City are set to offer a deal to Malaury Martin. The Frenchman, who has been released from Middlesborough impressed Derek McInnes with long range strikes at Ashton Gate and The Riverside last season. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He didn't quite break through at Middlesbrough, but will be fantastic in the right team.. Good luck to him.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Likely to remain at mfc if we miss out on a caryol or ladesma
"Now your lining up the next manager" A dirty ****in Sag whos hates us to boot...and don't be giving me the usual "he's changed bollox" cos he hasn't..
What else did you expect del could get us promoted and there would still be some of them on here who wants him out, really can't wait to see us sign our next Scottish player and see how mad they go
23 Jun 2012 20:19:38 Bristol City have made a fresh bid for Richard Keogh of £400k and James Wilson this comes from a very reliable source at Coventry I am told they will accept the offer if WIlson agrees to the move 23 Jun 2012 19:13:35 Bristol City looking at ex Norwich defender Zac Whitbread, who is set to join City at the start of pre season on trial to prove his fitness
Hey guys for goodness sake. I was not putting forward Ollie to replace Derek McInnes! It was simply an ironic comment at the end of a post about players who have worn both Red and Blue/white quarters. It's my hope/dream that DMc stays with City for many years because that will mean he and the club are successful. However the down side of that would be the big clubs would come a-hunting. So unless he gets us to the top six of the Prem year after year, in which case he would be as safe as SAF at Man Utd, we must be realistic that he will move on sooner or later.
Would love to see Shelvey join us on loan, however I cannot see this is true. Most likely he will follow Steve Clarke to WBA on loan if he goes anywhere.
24 Jun 2012 13:51:37 Leroy Lita will be back in Bristol next week for transfer talks with Bristol City boss Derek McInnes. 24 Jun 2012 13:18:35 Rotten ham keeper David Button will be loaned to Bristol City for the coming season. 24 Jun 2012 09:03:25 Bristol City are sniffing around Airey Amwallet the Finland midfielder is on a free, wages could be a problem as things are tight at Ashton Gate.
24 Jun 2012 21:15:19 Bristol city interested in sissoko of kilmarnock 25 Jun 2012 02:16:36 Chelsea's Ben Gordon and Man City defender Ryan McGivern will sign for Bristol City this week.
Am i the only one concerned around the lack of definate signings? Other teams are already bringing in new players but we seem to be struggling. Is wages the issue as pennies are tight or is the reality some of these players just dont fancy playing for BCFC. I for one have total faith in D.M and believe he will improve our position from last season but blatantly we were not good enough last year and so far dont seem to have improved the squad so far. Early days i know but...........
Sissoko is 34 so I think not! Ben Gordon is a left back, so maybe some mileage in that? But then so is McGivern and I can't think he would go for both
PA, i agree with your concerns, many teams have improved yet we have signed one 32 year old in Jody Morris. At the moment I agree very concerning regards improvements. A HOST OF PLAYERS HAVE GONE REDUCING THE WAGES BILL Significantly yet players have not come in to replace them. Unless new blood is on the cards,we are going to struggle with the current squad.
http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...striker-Ross/story-16450159-detail/story.html Ross McCormack maybe.. Also says no Gordon or McMannus
Sounds like McInnes top target for centre half is Keogh - McManus is left footed and we have Fontaine. Also linked with Myhill and McCormack
If we are interested in McCormack, then does it mean we have nothing in the pipeline regards our striker purchase. Seem any body and everybody that comes into the market we are supposedly interested in. Where are the players that Del has targeted. ???? Having said that MaCormack would be excellent capture.
