Listen ! The question was about being grown up ! My response was regarding the thread started. So tell me ****ing brain of Britain what's it got to ****ing do with us whether Emile Heskey is going to you ? Why didn't the numpty who started the thread put it on the Dull board. Now grow some bollocks andtoddle back off to your own board and leave us to have some sensible debates, rather than this ****ing 'my dads bigger than your dad' crap

You sound a bit tense, fix yourself a drink a put your feet up for a minute or two.

My dad's only 5'9".

Cage Tiger, are you aware that Hesky gave £100,000 of his own money to save Leicester when we went into administration - Whatever you post on here, please don't suggest Hesky chose Hull over Leicester
If Heskey decides to choose Hull instead of Leicester I promise not to suggest that Heskey chose to come to Hull instead of Leicester.
BTW. Do you think he'll refuse to celebrate when he pops in a hat-trick against your lot next season? :cheesy:

You mean the future run-away Championship winners?

That was a joke by the way, before I get called arrogant and deluded.

Second place will be fine.
<applause> "The future run-away Championship winners!" Why don't you have that as your new signature for next season? <ok>

What have we made up?

This is what i said in another thread, Pearson would have (if at all) offered him a reasonable Championship wage, Bruce will offer bigger wages as hes an ex-prem manager who's used to giving much higher wages out.

Heskey had 2 contracts in front of him, he was supposed to sign for Leicester, but missed

Nonsense, the Allams have said that there is no specific budget for transfers but they will be done on a deal to deal basis and assessed on value for money. Which is a long way of saying that they aren't unwilling to spend big but only if the player is worth it, for all the premiership experience Heskey offers he's still 34 years old and is as likely to be successful as he is to be unsuccessful.
The reason we've got him is the 2 year deal and first team football, something no other club that he'd be interested in joining would offer, the chances are we'd offer a similiar amount to you (if you even offered) but for twice the length of time. I'm sure he'd love to go back to Leicester but he's got a career to think about as well.

I really don't think we offered anything.

The man put his hand in his own pocket to save us from administration, its clear he loves the club. I just don't think Nigel wanted him and (if the rumours are true) he wants a younger targetman in Harry Kane.

I doubt you did, though Pearson showed last summer that he likes a target man by getting Adebola despite it being a cheap option. Kane seems a bit too young to be a target man, i haven't seen much of him but can he really outmuscle defenders regurarly at 18 years old? Maybe NP did stick in a cheeky 1 year offer and hope for the best, he's the ideal role model for Kane in terms of being a hold up striker so 1 year training together wouldn't do any harm.

I still think that if you did stick in a 1 year offer he'd have chosen us for the extra year, he knows Bruce well enough (which is the only reason we stood a chance of getting him in the first place). Footballers tend to let their head overrule their heart when it comes to moving clubs.

The £100k thing is obviously admirable btw and fair play to him for that

Good post !

A lot of Championship sides who played Millwall will tell you that Kane is a talent and has the capabilities of being a top class striker, maybe for England.

We have Nugent, Waghorn, Vardy and Beckford is still on the books so maybe Heskey wasnt prepared to come here and have to compete for a shirt. At Hull he along with Matty Fryatt will be first choice

Just supposing for a minute that Heskey does in fact sign for Hull, would they officially be known as Leicester reserves or Leicester "B"

Woah, I didn't post it to take a dig. I just thought it was a useful piece of information that both clubs would have liked to know as we were both linked with him?
Jesus Christ.

Even though you're trying to wum, at least try and make some sense. Firstly, reserve teams aren't usually better than the first team. Secondly, you know it'd only be 3 ex-Leicester players?

However, one player who is not on the list is former striker Emile Heskey.

Heskey, below, has been linked to a return to City, where he began his career, since leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season.

There were reports City had offered the former England striker a one-year contract, but the Mercury understands Heskey is not a target for Pearson.

New Hull manager Steve Bruce, who signed Heskey for both Birmingham City and Wigan, has reportedly offered the striker a two-year contract.

There you have it
