There you have it

A random thought . knowing Nigel as we now do ... would he really want a 'club legend' from before his time at the KP? .. his track record at managing big personalities is not exactly impressive .. now I don't think Emile would actually cause any problems through his personality - but Nige might not want to chance adverse crowd response to team selection, substitutions etc ...

After shipping out Steve Howard, i would have thought Heskey was the next best thing, but maybe hes looking for the next Heskey.

Woah, I didn't post it to take a dig. I just thought it was a useful piece of information that both clubs would have liked to know as we were both linked with him?
Jesus Christ.

Wow <yikes> I seemed to have touched a nerve here - Calm down me old Tiger or I'll have to get your keeper to sedate you

He brought Paul Dickov back

Don't really think you can compare:

Home town boy - City Boys School (as was Lineker)
Scores last minute Wembley equaliser in a cup final - whch we then go on to win in the replay
Club record transfer fee
European and domestic success with Liverpool
England International - key part of team that did well under Sven and scores one of the goals in a 5-1 away win against Germany
Dips into own pocket to contribute a six figure sum to save the club...

Versus

Small irritating Jock with a mildly amusing surname ....

Im not comparing them to their past success

Both Dickov and Heskey are fan favourite heres, both achieve alot of success here for us and helped us through tough times.

Nigel likes the bring young players in and Dickov was bit out of character type of signing for Nigel

Says Craig in Nottingham (a dull fan),

Did you even read my posts? First I said the "last two windows" and second I said " an official bid is only part of the process."

Yea can see dull fans have moved on OLM, KEEP UP !!

I think I'm probably too dull to understand this. :emoticon-0145-shake

I posted the thread on here because we already had this on ours. He was linked with both Clubs and I thought it was useful information for Leicester considering many were certain he was going to go to you. It wasn't an attempt at WUM at all, just posting information you might have missed.

It sounded like a WUM.

You know that if he doesn't come here then it means we didn't put an offer in for him because you know that if he did he would come to Leicester.

Imagine it being Dean Windass, it's the same. Heskey loves Leicester just like Windass loves Hull.

You find me a post on any Forum where I've said that Heskey is coming to Hull because he likes us better?
I know Heskey loves Leicester, and you may not have offered him a contract. But considering there were threads on both Hull and Leicester saying Heskey is coming to the Club, it was a means of clarification.
Not a WUM.
Not all fans are looking for arguments all the time. I can go onto any other board and everyone gets on with me fine (apart from TWS) but just because I'm a Hull fan, you instantly think I'm taking a dig.

Heskey had 2 contracts in front of him, he was supposed to sign for Leicester, but missed

Arf,
In the first week of training Bruce is at the ground leading the session
Foot, ball, goal. Foot, ball, goal, see
The young nigerian wizzkid just signed tells Bruce his English is perfect and he doesn't have to speak so slow.
I wasn't talking to you lad he days, I was talking to Heskey

Yeah because the rest of the Hull team was brilliant in front of goal last season <doh>
