Not at all, but the reason that the Company behind Rangers has went into Liquifidation is because of CW. He never paid the Small Tax bill and then he never paid any PAYE/NI or VAT for 8 months is the reason why we got ****ed. The EBT case was never fully played out and never will now.
You just cant reason with these "club12" (unts, even if 1 or 2 clubs in the SPL do hit financial problems next season (which i think is inevitable] they will all be saying it would not have happened if "club12" was voted in. BTW Aberdeen prepared for the decline in scottish football years ago when they got rid of the toasters
Because you're not "prohibited" from Europe either A ban (or a prohibition) means something specifically being forbidden. Sevco aren't "prohibited" from competing in Europe the same way that Rangers were in season 72-73 no more than than the Milton Keynes netball team are "prohibited" from competing in the World Cup. The reason it irks is because people (not all just Rangers fans but red top journos as well) have listed it as a "punishment". It's not a punishment or a sanction. If you want to apply this logic of "prohibition" to everything else, then I'm prohibited from claiming Maternity benefit simply because I'm not a pregnant female. To call it a ban or to justify it as some sort of "prohibition" legitimises idiots listing it as a punishment - which it plainly isn't. Sevco/Newco have not been punished for anything yet and are unlikely to - still Chris Graham was on TV last week claiming there should be no "further sanctions" and there was an "endless bloodlust" for punishment.
My understanding of the big tax case (and I might be wrong) is that it was a bill rangers disputed and went to court to try and get overturned so unless a verdict was returned saying there was no liability rangers still owe(d) the £94m. The way rangers fans go on it's as if they never got hit with the tax bill. Or am I missing something here?
Prohibited, as in not allowed! Anyway, I said, "in effect", Rangers are banned, which they are, so stop talking pish.
So when alcohol was prohibited in the USA, was that punishment for people getting drunk, or were they just simply not allowed to drink alcohol because they changed they law?
Any new club needs 3 years of accounts to be able qualify for Europe as far as I know. How can a new club be banned?
