In all seriousness how do you ballot your fans? Is it season ticket holders only or anyone that's ever requested a motherwell club catalogue?
I want to see it die because everyone says it wont die. Simple A new league structure will be formed by the time Rangers are back in any decent shape
It's the 'well Society who are in the process of taking over the club. They were given a Guidance Note explaining what the financial consequences would be depending on how they vote.
I'd be surprised if any team votes yes because it's becoming obvious that newco aren't going to get the votes required to get into the SPL so why would chairmen from the other clubs vote on what was already a lost cause? If they did they'd be directly responsible for alienating the only fan base in the Country that would make a significant contribution to their revenue. As for clubs dying? Some, maybe even more, clubs would be financially worst off at first but they will cut their cloths to fit. The dependancy on other clubs to generate their highest levels of income from the old firm visits will naturally have to be re-evaluated but with a more competitive league (at least for 2nd place season 2012/13) and Celtic taking the biggest (in terms of pounds) financial hit, probably causing us to have to downsize within a year, the traditional rules that we all took for granted will have changed. What we are seeing is a revolution that will have a fundamental effect on the distribution of income across all other teams, not to mention the voting system that will no doubt be reformed (10-2 was never right anyway) and possibly a chance to make other improvements relating to the size of our leagues and the number of times teams compete against each other in a season. Sevco/oldco fans expecting football in this Country to die a death either weren't old enough to remember the early to mid eighties or are too introspective to see the bigger picture. And some are just complete thickos. Trev I don't peg you as one of the thickos so which is it - are you old enough to remember the 'new firm' of Aberdeen and Dundee United or haven't you looked outside the blue box to see that (for all us other clubs) this could be a good thing in the medium to long term? Or are you winding us up and you don't really believe what you write?
Surely banned just means prohibited, so in effect, Rangers are banned from playing in Europe for 3 years. **** knows why you have got such a hard on for Trev using the term "banned".
A ten point deduction is not a punishment for what Rangers have done ... it was simply a punishment for going into Admin!
