I wasn't a shareholder in the club, but many supporters were, and they got stiffed for a 1p a share. If Bas then walks away with a hefty profit from this deal I would be livid.
Watford Observer‏@Observer_Owl Sources say Pozzos would almost certainly make Zola #WatfordFC manager. Dyche in dark over his role and moves for players on hold.
Observer_Owl - "Topsy turvy world of #WatfordFC continues. Expect an update shortly." Should we be worried? Be a shame for Dyche I feel as Zola hardly knows anything about this league and do we really want to have a load of overseas loan players coming taking time to settle. In the Championship that could mean we find ourselves in trouble...
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9778143.Watford_owner_claims_Pozzo_takeover_is_off/ref=twt/ Deal is off!!
An hour ago Bassini contacted the Watford Observer and said: “They don’t have the money [I want for the takeover] so I’m not doing the deal. “They didn’t provide the proof of funds and it is not transparent enough so that is that. “They have so many partners but they don’t have the money. “The deal is definitely off. They do not have the money. What can I do?" this leaves us with egg on our faces. Grim.
This man is a total clown. For him to turn round and say that they don't have any money is beyond belief. I suspect that the bondholders may wish to exercise their rights to have him removed if that is possible.
Are you hatching a plan here Yorkshire? YOu never know, someone else might come in now....Syill, this isn't good !
So does this leave LB in sole charge of Watford FC Ltd. and Watford Leisure, now that messrs Fransen and Timperley have been removed to Watford Association Football Club Limited? Dangerous times. All the players we have been linked strongly with Tomasz Kuszczak, James Collins and even Frank Nouble have been lost because of this silliness. We might be reduced to wishing for Tommy Smith and Heidar Helguson to return and off loading Adrian mariappa as quickly as possible now, and at a stupidly low price. Baz, what have you done?
This seems to be Bas reverting to type. With no one to advise him on what is proper business behaviour he goes off in all directions--that is what GT found so frustrating about him and why he has never been able to work for long with any business partner or senior director. (What happened to his partner the knee doctor , BTW, and the hairdresser grannie?). I would not be surprised to see the deal go through. The bondholders will see to that , since they want a new owner who can actually pay back the bonds. It is a question of finding an arrangement that lets Bas keep a bit of cash. Watford does seem a good fit for the kind of business model the Pozzo family have in mind and they can buy the club quite cheaply. To return to an earlier point--they are NOT buying the club with the intention of driving it into the Premiership--they do not need to do this, and they will not provide funds for this, so do not expect it.
Is this some sort of Baz driven Italian poker game. Is this definitely off?? Horse's head for Baz's bed?
What I don't get is how can they not have £$ with the success of Udinese and Granada ?? BEATS ME>.....
