I don't know a lot about the current Italy side, but I imagine we'll be stronger at the back than them and this might give us another advantage. I just hope our attack can cause them problems!
Portugal -2 at 7/1 cracking odds IMO Czechs have looked very weak and disposable. Also sportingbet refunding any lost first scorer/last scorer, correct score and scorecast bets if Ronald's scores within the 90 minutes.
I think we can beat Italy but then its the dreaded Germans in the semi- just getting to the quarters is a great result, well done to Roy and the lads for getting the results

Czech Republic were utter gash tonight. Didn't have a single shot on target, their highlights were a couple of second half corners, neither of which went into the box but beyond it and almost out for a throw in on the far side. It was worse than watching Greece in the group stages which is saying something. I'll be amazed if they do any better against Germany tomorrow. I've said it enough times but Group A was just a joke, especially considering the strength of every other group.
Is just me or is everyone else getting fed up by some of the press still knocking England? We've already done better than was probably expected, the football may not be pretty but it's getting results. We don't have the players to play like Spain and are playing to our strengths. It seems some of the press aren't happy unless they're bashing England!
The Czech's are a woeful team. If i remember correctly they cheated Scotland out of a playoff place in the qualifiers.
Portugal look a decent side. Their semi final v France or Spain will be interesting one.
I really want Greece to win tonight v the Germans, am guessing I probably won't be the only one. Don't think they have much chance though unless they can grind it to penalties. Imagine if we beat Italy and have Greece in the semi, what a chance for us.
Sod that I want both us and Germany to win in the quarters for a good old England Germany derby game. Love playing the Germans always a cracking day/night out in the boozer.

Agreed. I really don't like the way Greece play and find them painful to watch at times, but I'd much rather play them than Germany in the semis, if we get through of course.
Klose is good too though. I'd say leaving Podolski and Muller out and picking Reus and Scheulle (or however you spell it) is more of a gamble. This is what I meant the other day when when I was saying about the German squad not being as strong as some seem to think it is. Beyond their first XI you're looking at relative unknowns.
