I was going to get a ticket for this gig until I discovered that my 10 year old daughter was dancing on stage at the Empire on the same day, then there was no contest which came first...
I am going to see the Chilli Peppers on Sunday though...

I would have loved to have seen the Boss, my mum used to love him, and as you get older you bond a bit with (some) of the tracks you heard as a child!

I did get tickets or my parents, but they'd already booked a holiday and were out of town.

Bit of a shame.

I hate it when you say,"my mum loves him", makes me feel very old
 
'Tell her about it' was Billy joel's song if that is what you meant!. I could hear Cold play and Bruce springsteen out of my window in Redhouse!.

Me brother got dragged to a gig by a mad jock about 10 years ago and has been to see him 3 times since having never cared for him before. Raves about his gigs now like so might be worth a visit.

Aye, one of my good mates Dan loves the bloke as well, in fact I know quite a few who were going last night.

Thing is with performers, you don't need to be a massive fan of the music to appreciate a talented bloke who can play the crowd, as I said, I used to hate his tunes but as I've got older I like a few of them as they bring back memories!
 
Saw Pearl Jam last night at the MEN arena. 20 years on and they were still absolute quality. Proper 'live' band as is the Boss.
 
It was OK. Nowt flash however the man does get massive respect for the energy expended (is that the right word?) in a three & a half hour set.

Sound quality was very good, seemed to enjoy himself immensely with the interraction with the crowd but not a great deal of craic. Strange end when they just got into the limo's and buggered off.
A brilliant stand out moment for me was a bloke (out of his box) who put on a magnificent dancing display whilst "The River" was being performed.
 
I'm a massive Springsteen fan. A lot of his songs show his sympathy towards the American working class.

That was his own upbringing & although undoubtably now a millionaire, I don't think he has ever forgot his roots.

The album "Nebraska" tells it's own story & is pure class.

Well done Boss, keep going lad, <ok>.
