Hang on....was that the one where it showed you a 3d design of your stadium and you could knock down one of the stands and it would replace it with a digger whilst you were rebuilding? And there was some "teletext" format for checking the other result that day?
I do King the missus always on to me because I'm always playing the game. Playing as Spurs of course- won the Europa League(good omen ) King always injured-nothing new there. Signed Foster(gk) & Pandev from Inter all left foot but good finisher.
sorry but the king of all football games was Sensible Soccer on the amiga and then they converted it to the mega drive, those were the days!
Yes it was! I too was a big fan of USM98, was still playing it in fact until about 2006. You were also in charge of building all of the Programme stands, burger stands, bars etc, what merchandise each club shop stocked, and the individual prices of all of these things. Unbelievable game.
Haha!! And the managers room with the fax machine, filing cabinet etc! And I believe it was the original game where u had to answer questions from the press. So realistic for its time. Tots... If levy would get on with it, we might not have wandered off topic and be talking about a game from 14 years ago!! It was a very good game! I'm sure I still have it!!
Sensible soccer was amazing. I had it on the Master System (the small brother of the megadrive). There was a goal that i could score every time from kick off. 2 passes and a curler from the left corner of the box.
yes!!! sensible soccer!! remember Striker and World cup striker for the SNES? indoor 5-a-side football!!
yeah these posts should probably be in the bill nick thread. but hey ho, it's Levy's fault. we're bored of waiting!
not anti levy at all. i'm fair from anti levy. just saying how our conversation has drifted because nothing is happening with vertonghen, or anything else for that matter! even the papers and online reports have stopped writing stuff!
OK slight change to this. Since I posted this we've found out the issue. Vertonghen has in his contract at Ajax that he gets a certain % of the transfer fee to himself personally. Because he only has 1 year left on his contract, he's gone for a lower fee than we'd expect, so he's bartering for a higher percentage of the deal from Ajax. That fits with the previous information that a transfer fee is done, the contract with Spurs is done, and he's all ready to join, but I suppose it is to do with the player, so apologies for that wrong info!
