I don't care anymore, if Holt thinks he's bigger than the club, then he can **** off. We shouldn't, and must never put ourselves in a position of paying more than we can afford for players, their wages or anything else. In three years we've managed to put ourselves in a strong financial position, and we must hold onto that. I've said it before, Norwich City is my club, as a supporter it part belongs to me as I have invested in it as have all supporters, and no one, that is NO ONE must ever be able to put our club in danger again. We plucked Grant Holt from obscurity, and put him in a club and a team where he could flourish, to his credit he took that opportunity and did fantastically well, BUT, it was a team effort, not just him that brought us success. Delia brought in McNally, who brought in Lambert, Culverhouse, Kaksa, who brought in a host of new players. The fans filled the stadium, bought season tickets in their 10's of thousands, bought replia kits and and god knows what else from the club shops, IT'S OUR CLUB! So if Grant Holt doesn't want to be here or is trying to hold us to ransome, then it's in the best interest's of Norwich City F C to sell him, and the sooner that happens the better. He is in danger of going from Hero to Zero in my eyes, and I now want him out! ILD OTBC
If I was Davie Mac I'd be saying to David Gold right now that a Bankers Draft for £5m will do nicely thank you..
BRILILANT and totally sums up my feelings on the subject!! Whether it's GH himself (ILD - well said in that we gave him the chance and he took it as part of an emerging team!!!) or his good for nothing agent - let's put all this behind us and find out who out of last year's squad wants to continue to wear 'Yellow and Green' next season. I'm hoping that the majority will want to continue to develop their skills here in Norfolk.
At least Andrew Surman's shown some loyalty - good news following Adam's departure yesterday and Holtyouhostagegate .....
Agreed NOT saying we have to go mental or anything, but if we really do want to compete in the PL and not just scrape by, then the level needs to be raised !
I said on a previous thread that I had heard from a reliable source that Holt would be signing for Wet Sham by the end of next week FACT! Why doesn't anyone listen to me?
You should of started a thread, KIO. Posts get lost in other articles. I saw what you wrote, and as you don't seem to be the type of guy that would post crap just to get attention, I believed you.
Holt is best gone now. I am getting a bit concerned about the Zigic link, his touch is worse than Morisons. I love foreign imports but I don't want two talentless people here just because they can header a ball. We will be losing our only decent striker and he needs to be replaced with another decent striker.
Lets not get too upset about Holt. We thought we were the bees knees for a while last season. Taking the piss out of anything that moved and adopting Carrow Road as a shrine to Holt and Lambert. But its a commodity nowadays not a sport, £3BN worth of commodity in fact. The pigs are all at the trough and while we keep feeding them they will get fatter. Holt sees himself deserving of front rank at the trough. We told him that there was an orderly queue and everyone deserved to be at the front. Good luck to him but he'll still end up bacon one day.
Can I just clarify that I'm not saying supers has posted crap, just that some people - not necessarily on this forum - do.
