NNW - Yes, I miss Gary and I miss WUM's and scummers like Bobberman (RIP) coming on here. I only have my stalker to play with these days and he disappears for months when the going gets a bit tough...

Ahhh W-Y, I see you are still thinking about me, nothing inappropriate I hope. I had forgotten all about you. If you want you can follow me on twitter.

It's true I don't post a lot, but I had to register to avoid all the silly adverts which appear on members postings but which don't if you are registered. Nevertheless I do contribute sometimes. I wasn't aware there was a minimum monthly posting requirement. Perhaps you can let me know how many posts are required each month.

Can I suggest you change your name from W-Y to I-Y. I recall the last time you tried to bully me ( without effect ) was because you thought I was hiding and you didn't know who I was. So I posted my name for all to see, and I think most people could make an educated guess as to where in the country I am. You declined to give the same information, which is why I suggest the change of name from Wear to Is.

Any requests for a Straw from the Nest or two? Ideally I'm looking at players who played at least a few games at Vicarage Road, and who have left the club in the past two or three years.

A little heat being generated here then? For no reason I can think of it reminded me of Mr and Mrs Ramsbottom's impression of Blackpool.

They didn't think much to the Ocean: The waves, they was fiddlin' and small,
There was no wrecks and nobody drownded, Fact, nothing to laugh at at all.

Oohhh - Listen to Mark or is it Garry then?...it's clear in my profile where I reside and why should you or anyone else care what my name is, I carried on the same posting name from 606 - it's the internet you dick. You obviously take yourself far too seriously, as I thought you were hiding your past Garry...

Hello I-Y. Struck a nerve did I?

And by the way your profile says you reside in bandit country and when I search for this place on Streetmap it comes up "no matches" so it is definately not clear from your profile where you reside.

Neither does yours - I suspect if I put Cornish into the same Streetmap it would have the same difficulty. Your name states you are Cornish but not where you reside. Come on no-stars, up your game...

Hello I-Y. Excuse me a few minutes while I untangle the knot in my line with which I am reeling you in. I have to go home now.

Yeah right, the old make a dick of yourself and claim it's a fishing trip story....just another dick who tries to be a WUM but fails and then disappears for few weeks - see you in a few weeks Mivi when you have recovered..

Cmon guys , we have a possible takeover (again) and all were doing is song game and word game , cmon people lets have a little more effort , I know I`m not a mod any more , but I invested a lot of time and effort here , there are things of interest happening out there , go find them and tell us about them !
Got to be better than the stagnant crawl we seem to be stuck in.
If you dont like what I`m saying tough ,coz truth hurts sometimes!

Are you Mark Lawrenson?

you can suggest all you like Norway, but as usual, if you don't like a thread, don't open it. Simple. The same could be said of the chess thread which i see you have no problem with, how strange, as it's a game and falls into the same category.

If you want to talk about the possible takeover, fine. But it's pure speculation and aside from guesswork there's nothing to be said that hasn't already been said. There is no Watford news that hasn't been posted about.

Like all forums, they are there to discuss specific topics, but if people go off topic, that's their perogative. If you have a problem with certain threads, like i said, you're well within your rights to ignore them.

Enjoy posting, but don't try and make others feel bad for posting what they enjoy. This board is for everyone who supports Watford FC, and everyone has a right to enjoy it as they see fit.
I agree with you there Hornette, and also I like all the games here.

Just because there is a clear will to continue to accomodate games doesn't make Norway wrong to make a point here. The games are a good way to keep people interested, and I'm very reluctant to call for a second "cool down", like the one we had a few months ago. But those who aren't regulars and visit from time to time are more likely to get hooked in if at a glance they see at least some Watford-specific discussions.

The closest thing to a Watford discussion is Aberdeen's (somewhat hypothetical but not entirely unrealistic) pitch thread. My straw from the nest requests thread probably comes second.

Given that a second forum is not an option, perhaps the solution is to sticky a couple of Watford-specific threads in the summer and remove them just before we start playing again. Maybe the news and rumours?

Another way would be to label anything non-Watford with [Off topic] at the start of the title, like they do on the Hull forums?

Whilst I always enjoy a look over here thanks to you lot signing Nuggsy & my good mate Hornette, if I have outstayed my welcome then I am happy enough to just go.

I enjoyed the change a letter thing & posted the other two just in case you fancied a crack at it.

I realize that away fans "hanging around " for too long can become irksome.

Enjoyed my time here lads, cheers.

I don't think the problem is the games themselves mate, the ones you posted in particular are good and football related. I'd encourage you to continue here. <ok>

Myself and Norway are both regulars on the chess thread, which is just as off-topic as anything else, but which also helps keep people hooked on the forums. I think it's just about trying to find a way to make sure that the Watford threads we have are easy to see. During the season that happens on its own, but during the summer both of the suggestions I make at the bottom of my post would help do that without in any way affecting the games.

I believe NNW has got it spot on, Billy fresh input is always valued, my main gripe is a lot of stuff like word and song game have gone on for too long and should thus be consigned to a games room or something similar! Front page on any board should be important ,recent news and topical issues. In the earlier days the nest used to be the catch all for chat and games , its a shame it is now largely redundant , I must admit I have tended to use another forum now instead of here ,mainly because it is more structured and it is quick and easier to find stuff I am interested in,they also have a games room , virtual bookies and a few other ideas !

sorry my name appears on nearly all of the last posts, but no-one else seemed to have posted anything, but this is the end of season, there isn't much to talk about apart from non-watford related things, such as the euros. we've already discussed about the 'possible' take over but we don't actually know enough to take it any futher, so nwhat do you and norway actually want to talk about.

The one thing I see is Watford are very secret in what they do. We never know what is going to happen until it has passed. We have rumours of transfers and another take over and that is all. We could have some more pictures of the new field or the Watford Observer could send a journalist to find out things for the paper. Hornette could kidnap a youth player until he tells some information.

And threaten to throw him into a crowd of L***n supporters.
