To be honest, I think you're right. I was just reading his tweets: This looks like he was joining Swansea until Brendon Rodgers joined Liverpool. Although I understand and respect what Rodgers was saying about Siggy speaking to Swansea first, I think it is quite obvious what he was doing by saying this in public and he also made it perfectly clear that he had spoken to the individual too. So, what he was saying was right but by saying it he was in the wrong if you can understand that?
Dont think its any surprise, feel a bit sorry for you lads, but Im sure with Laudrup comin in you will be ok Seen quite a bit of Gylfi both for Reading and Swansea, and TBH been very impressed, when I saw him at Reading a few yrs ago thought he was an awesome prospect who played on both wings as well as cm and was amazed when he went to Germany and wasnt picked up by a a pl club.Apparently at his 1st season at Hoffenheim he was injured for half the season but STILL won fans player of the year havin bein fit for only half the season.New manager came in , in the summer and the new manager didnt fancy him for some reason which is why he was loaned to you in Jan 2012. Think hes an awesome prospect, can see us playin a 3 man midfield next year with Lucas as anchor and Gylfi furthest forward in the inside left channel, and Stevie perhaps a bit more defensive in the inside right channel. Unless we bring someone else in or play 442 which is a possibility but perhaps 2nd favourite behind 433 with Rodgers as manager, I think he will be in the first 11 , far better player imo than Adam or Hendo, far more technically gifted
Does anyone else think this is rubbish...? I'm not questioning whether Siggy is worth it or not, that's for Rodgers and FSG to decide. What I find annoying is that Hoffenheim agreed a £6.8m fee with Swansea but suddenly it is Liverpool and the fee has gone up...? It is the usual bigger club (no offence Swansea ) tax which is just ridiculous!
Also the potential 'bidding' war that may now take place ..... hence the reason we usually like to do our business early (thanks for that!)
"Gylfi was voted as 1899 Hoffenheim's fans' player of the season, despite only starting 13 games. He finished the season with ten goals and two assists. During the first half of the 2011–12 season, he fell down the pecking order, making just seven league appearances and was linked with a move away from the club." He must have made an impression to be voted playing of the season having only played thirteen games!
First you take our manager, then our backroom staff and now you steal Gylfi from us .... a bit of rep may make amends
http://www.footylounge.com/films//m...2-highlights-dailymotion-video_850434d71.html The only worry I have is perhaps if some other pl heavyweights become interested, but with BR on board that has gotta make us massive favourites to sign him Watch the video above Regards quality , ability I have ZERO concerns about him if he signs I feel certain he will be a massive success, very , very classy footballer IMO
Rep slut As I've said before it's not really stealing where The Sigs concerned...more like a bit of light hearted buggery....a shafting you might say
