Not read this thread, but i am a huge fan of the kit, my father hates it, but i really do like it. Looks classy and like one poster said an adult could wear it and not look an idiot.
 
I too got bored of reading after about page 5 but i am quite surprised by the general good reaction to it! Personally i think it is absolutely atrocious, probably the worst kit we have had since i have been following them (since 1997 so the tiger striped shirt doesnt count!)

It depends how fat you are , actually no it doesn't , it's hideous , it's gets worse every time I see it

Seriously, I'd buy a generic shirt if I can get hold of a iron on City badge.

We didn't play in white in the football league, did we? Our nickname came about because of these shirts. We wouldn't have been called The Tigers if we had played in plain shirts.

These black and amber colours are where Hull's nickname, The Tigers, originated from.[4] However, in the club's first match against Notts County in 1904, white shirts were worn, with black shorts and black socks. During their first season in the League, Hull wore black and amber striped shirts and black shorts, which they continued to wear until the Second World War with the exception of one season, in which they wore sky blue shirts.[45] Following the end of the Second World War, Hull spent another season wearing sky blue, but changed to plain amber shirts, which they wore until the early 1960s, when they swapped back to stripes.[46]

Our history and tradition is to change from stripes to plain, let's not mess with that.

Got to agree that it's absolutely hideous.

Our simple, every-day style kits have always been the better ones - stop experimenting with these ****ed up designs!

I did some research on this for an article once.

Promotion (9): 2 in stripes, 5 in plain, 2 in pinstripes
Relegation (9): 1 in light blue, 3 in plain, 4 in stripes, 1 in pinstripes

Best Cup Run: stripes
Highest League Position: stripes

We have played more seasons in stripes than in plain amber (or other colours).

Conclusion: overall that suggests we are more successful in plain shirts.

Still prefer stripes though.
 
It's a football strip ffs - if you wear it as a fashion item then you need help.

100% agreed ^^^^ this. Massive own goal by the club. If the away kit is similar then hey pressto guess where i shall be getting mine from. I can have both home and away shirt for half the price. Just need to get the club badge and have the wife sow it on. Job done.

If the Allams are not aware of this blunder they soon will be. It would indeed be interesting to see how bad shirt sales were last season (@ full price) and i bet it will be worse next season.

If the club cannot be bothered then run a competition to the fans. Design our new kit(home and away) and the winner s get a complementary season card. Not hard is it.
