Not that i want to re-open the debate too much, but i don't think he has proven anything since his return to Leicester. He's paid for 3 players, paid good prices that aren't cheap by NPC standards for players that SAF clearly doesn't want anymore. You haven't loaned a single prospect off them like we have. Evans, King and Brady were all seen as good prospects, we signed Evans because they let us as he was less of a prospect, but mainly because he decided at a young age that he wanted to leave Man Utd since he enjoyed playing first team football.
This time round Brady is considered unlikely to make the grade due to his lower than expected performances here and now they want rid (if OLM is to be believed).

Not that i'm saying Pearson/Leicester doesn't have a relationship, all i'm saying is that paying good money for 3 of their players that SAF has already decided won't make it there doesn't prove it (or disprove it)

EDIT: also, who's Larnell Cole?

We loaned Tom Cleverley off them before and he is now a first team player

Nearly all of the players you have loaned from them you have ended up signing so i could say the same to you

Larnell Cole is a winger who we was linked with who the Man U fans rave about

Very good prospect from what i have heard

Man United youth team midfielder(19), only 1 appearance for United, as a sub in a Carling Cup game against TWS.

Not sure how anyone outside of those who follow the Man United youth team would know how good he was, he hasn't played first team anywhere yet.

So another Robbie Brady in terms of potential. Not again thanks, if he's central i'd rather get Tunnicliffe

I very clearly put 'since his return to Leicester' in my post. as you did in your post (worded: 'Nigel has proved since he came back here he has strong links at Man U') which mine was in response to.

I also named 3 examples of players that we've had (one since NP left) that are an example of loaning prospects off them that they don't want to sell (or didn't at the time), in fact if memory serves Man Utd offered Evans a one year extension which he rejected in favour of coming to us.

I even added a note at the bottom saying that i wasn't arguing he doesn't have a strong relationship, simply that you're wrong to say he's proven it since his return.

Do they teach people to read in Leicester?!!

I love the Liverpool chant about Bruce

Chester is good but nowhere near as good as you are making out
Nowhere near as good as the rave reviews make out either? Or expert pundits opinions?
He is 5"10 and he's 23. Got a great future ahead of him. Wouldn't have been at Man Utd if he was as bad as you're making out. And Big Boring Judas Nige seems to like him.

And about the Man Utd connections. I take it you didn't sign many of Man Utd's youth in Pearson's first spell in charge? He came to us, relished the fact that Hull City have a great connection in the form of Warren Joyce who advises players to join us.
He's tried to take it to Leicester obviously because of the calibre of players he's brought to the Circle such as Chester, Brady, Stewart, Evans etc.
Our connection with Man Utd, has been there a long long time whereas Leicester seem to have only just started taking that approach.

How about you read the thread first?

Wasn't Paul McShane at Man U once?

As i said Chester is a good player just not the world beater you are trying to make out

To use Chester is now a proven championship defender, hes not put a foot wrong in a season and ahalf so its not the fact that hes worth 5mil its the fact if we sold him to you for say 2.5mil we prob couldnt replace him for that with another defender who you could guarentee to be as good for us. Not saying hes a world beater hes just very solid in our back four, im sure u wouldnt sell Nugent for anything less than what price you believed you could replace him with for a player who
would be as successful as Nugent has been for you. Enjoy the season lads.

I will remember that when you start slagging off our players <ok>

If Chester was as good as you lot make out Man U wouldnt of sold him

What ? Man Utd didn't think he was ever going to be good enough to get into their first team. So therefore, they sold him. He came here and we developed him as a player and is now a fantastic young player. You never know, Man Utd may sign him back one day.
