Happy for the Ox to start me, really rate that kid, not scared of running at defenders and creating something from nothing, they type of player England really miss IMO.

More worried about Milner on the flank, unless he's playing right-back and Johnson is the winger

Was mentioned on here last week that they probably will have some sort of Graham Taylor turnip style abuse lined up for Hodgson already, you have the likes of Ferdinand and Barton ready to mouth off too, not a great fan of Hodgson but makes me want us to do well even more so that these people keep their traps shut

Carraghers voice is awful to listen to hope he doesn't get a full-time pundit job can't listen to that, hope we hang on for the draw here, the likes of Parker and Gerrard cant take the conditions. Unbelievable how many fouls the French are getting away with in this game

I think we played some decent football and a draw's a good result, if the ref wasn't French we might even have nicked it.

1-1 great result? Where's the ambition? Playing to draw during 90 minutes is something.

Problem was we had no Lampard or Barry to bring on in midfield, nor a Sturridge or Johnson o nthe wings that would have made a huge difference. Bring Rooney back and he adds that dimension between the midfield and defence. France created nothing though bar the goal and i think the defence was absolutely superb as was Parker, if we can find that spark in Rooney, push Young onto the left, Ox on the right and keep Wellbeck up top with Gerrard breaking from midfield i think we have a good side. Well as good as is expected from us.

Also how can any Portugese fan say about playing for a draw? Yesterday was the most one sided 1-0 i have ever seen and i hate Germany.

Great defensive display from England, but we've got nothing what so ever up front. Just hope Rooney's petulance in Montenegro hasn't cost us.

That ref today was an absolute joke. Everything we did our players got booked and when the French players did the same nowt happened. How none of their players weren't booked is beyond me.

Surely if u saw the game yesterday it wasn't Portugal - Germany. Tell me the number of chances of England and Portugal in our games. And by the way its not us that say we have the best league in the world...surely the country of such great league should play a bit more football.

Ridiculous wasn't it? The worst was the one on Welbeck near halfway when he was totally blocked off making a run, clear for all to see and the ref just stared into space like nothing happened. Every time we tried to counter someone got pulled back and hauled down yet they never got booked for it. Of course as soon as an England player goes to ground it's worth a booking.

I think you decided long ago that England were going to be ****...

Milner had 3 or 4 great chances to cross today and didn't get it off the floor once, reminded me of Alton Thelwell. It's annoying because he's put some great balls in for Man City this season.

I agree withh City1904 that we were very good defensively today, though it isn't surprising, we have one of the best defences going on paper. We seem to lack a little bit of quality in between midfield and attack. Oxlade looked promising and Young can create something, but I'd like to see the team with Rooney back in. We created way more than France in terms of proper chances, all they had was long shots.
