Can a mod ban this colwho wum he's ruining numerous threads..was funny at first now my pity has turned to annoyance.

This is entirely the media's fault. We need to get some perspective.

Let's say that what should have happened is the club release a press statement stating that Holt has handed in a transfer request, he wants to move closer to his family in the North, and whilst he's enjoyed his time at Norwich, he feels he would rather leave at the top of his game.

The bloke is an honest, working class lad. He's not in the business of stabbing anyone in the back, ESPECIALLY not the club and fans who have made him a Premiership footballer.

We all need to calm down, he'll be (or would be) missed greatly. The media have got hold of this and all of a sudden people are saying he's a judas. For heaven sake.

good post <ok>

Can someone just clarify something, have the club rejected the request or rejected the fact he asked for a transfer request?

I've always said he's a fat bastard<ok>

Seriously, surely this comes down to money, and nothing else? Give him want he wants and lets move on, and let all these small clubs fans get back to their own board.<ok>

One of two things happens: 1. We get a big transfer fee for someone whos goals have propelled us from league 1, to mid-table in the Prem. After all he's done, he would go with the best wishes of 99.9% of fans, and his hero status is assured.
2. He's still here next season giving us great service.

I hope it's No. 2, but if he were off, he'll remain a legend.

‘wanting to move back North to be with the family’, typical engineered Lambert transfer shenanigans.

Of course, in Colchester, the term "wanting to move back north" means the entire family moving upstairs to escape the rising water as the cesspit fills up ...

let mike has his five minutes of fame - he's been patient enough while we've been on a non-stop ride to paradise!

holt is still a norwich player until such time as he sticks another teams shirt on. i just wish the club would make an official statement - its obviously being worded very carefully!
