Dembele, no chance. Why would he leave Fulham to come to us realistically. Only way he's going is upwards to a bigger club (wouldn't surprise me to see him at Arsenal).

I don't think Defoe is unrealistic, and I don't think Lukaku on loan is unrealistic. That would certainly sort the front out. The right midfielder and central midfielder could prove more tricky.

i think people need to be realistic - a player who is an established 1st team regular in the PL, probably isn't going to want to join us. PL Squad players maybe

Wouldn't mind a bit of Enzo Reale to bulk up the centre of midfield once we sell Chaplow.

I'd like chris eagles, knows Cork well, looks a class apart at Bolton and is versatile. Been relegated twice though so perhaps a bad omen!

Martin Petrov for one season? He is getting on a bit but I think he's a very dangerous player.

More of an attacking player? Who would you liken him to in our squad?

A combination of De Ridder's pace and Lallana's guile - but he actually has a cracking shot on him.

Eagles would be a good impact player IMO.

He is a good player, but this makes him sound much better than he is!

Think I'd rather have Rodriguez than Defoe. Not because he's unrealistic or isn't good enough, because he isn't and is. More that Defoe is the sort of mercenary big shot that I'd rather avoid. Still class, but he's at the end of his prime and he wouldn't add anything in the longer term. Ex-skate too.

whenever I've seen eagles on the highlights he's not afraid of putting a tackle in, and he drives forward, alot like chaplow when he's on form, but I think there's a little more to his game

Defoe is a big risk IMO. Injury prone and not the sort of personality we want in the cahnging room.

No one will believe me when i say this but a good mate of mine with links at arsenal says theres a good chance Chamberlain might come back on loan for the season, Wenger did it with Wilshere aswell
