I try and play online and just find I get murdered, not that old only 40 but seems like a massive gap between me and young gamers. I have played Forza recently I quite like it, have found I can compete up to about d class after that get left behind but its a lot of fun, they are releasing all the Porsche cars next week so might get the full set

I'm pretty similar to that, although I still occasionally get bored of them and play something like Assassins Creed or Saints Row to keep it a bit fresh

I swear people have been saying that as long as I can remember. Even 5 or 6 years ago people still said PES used to be best but FIFA is miles better now.

I used to like both but I stuck with PES when FIFA got ridiculously slow around 07 onwards. I've never liked it since, I occasdionally play against friends who refuse to play Pro Evo but it seems like no matter what player you use they are all slower than James Harper in real life. Everything just looks like a slow-mo replay compared to the slickness of PES.

That said, it has gone seriously off the boil in the last few years, they change something unnecessary and for the worse every year. This year it's shooting which used to be awesome but now if you're anywhere near the goal, the striker will just pass it straight to the keeper regardless of his supposed ability. Strangely it only goes anywhere near the corners if you shoot from about 20 yards. It also has the same tackiness issues it's always had. The commentators just talk utter rubbish and seem to choose the least appropriate saying for any occasion, it makes FIFA's commentary sound like you're watching a real match.

As for GTA I loved the latest one, I'm well excited for GTA V. Other games of interest: anything Star Wars, the Pokemon games (not gonna deny it) and nerdiest of all Kingdom Hearts. Someone will scoff at that last one but I'll let them know in advance they can **** off, it's awesome.

For me it's got to be Resident Evil 4 on the PS2, I love that game & I have completed every version of it, also love Resident Evil 2 & 3. RE2 was the first one I played & I used to play it in the dark, it makes it so much more jumpier. I also love FIFA, but can't get the controls right on anything other than PS, also Football Manager, just got '12 recently but don't seem to have time to do it properly, too much tactics to just jump in with 442 Attack.

    Probably because it's true <laugh>

Pes 2, Pes 6 and Pes 09 were brilliant, and Pes 3, 4 and 5 were still just about better than Fifa.

I suppose it will do if you're used to Pes though. The same way Pes generally feels awful for me in terms of shooting, passing and the way everyone runs like they've **** themselves.

I won't accept that. The passing on the two games isn't even comparible. On FIFA I can play with Xavi or Iniesta and a full power bar will still only trickle the ball about 10 yards ahead. On PES I can casually pick out players on the opposite wing with any old **** player. It's not as realistic, but it's more fun.

The Nazi Zombies level on World at War was good. Never got very far though.

Usually play Medal of Honour series, FIFA 1998 (first one i got), GTA series.

I know how infuriating some games can be. When the second Metal Gear Solid game came out it took me ages to complete it. That wasn't because i was crap, it was because they made it with tons of ****e cut screens and tons of dialogue that you had to get through. Bit like Final Fantasy, which i bloody hate.

To be honest - this season I've played about 1000 FIFA matches and about 3 PES, so my opinion is barely valid, it's just a vague memory from about 3 months ago.
Although I can say the same about your FIFA view - I won't accept that <laugh> I can ping out 50 yard passes with Liam Rosenior so I don't know why you should have any problem with Xavi etc.

Oh, and realism bothers me on football games. Ie I can't just win the Premier League in my 2nd season as Hull, with Fryatt bagging 60 goals and enjoy it, because that's clearly just too damn easy.
So that leads me onto my next PES point - team names can be changed but the badges would still piss me off. And the fact that City don't exist.

I only ever played 03-04, in fact I still have it - brilliant game. Shame there's no way of importing future stars (ie Messi) or I'd still be playing it over FM12.

Another world , that was frustrating .. was it on the Amiga ??

As for now i play Fifa in the pro clubs with a bunch of mates on the Xbox , Trials is a good game to play if you are thinking of committing murder but need to build up your stress levels.
CODs gone **** since COD WaW when they started holding your hand too much for your kills , MW3 is a total pile of random death its a joke

Broken Sword trilogy without a doubt. Not so much number 3 because number 1 + 2 was quality with the good old point and click gameplay.
