You beat me zen. This is quite easy. To start you will be given your fathers name as an identifier at birth so if your father was called Björn for example and your parents decided to call you Helgi you would be Helgi Björnsson. There are circumstances where the mothers name would be taken, like Heiðar has. Going to the example again if you were a girl you would be Björnsdóttir. Also when a girl marries she keeps her given names so a family of four with two parents and one boy and one girl would appear to have four completely different surnames, although for us is normal. With more children and the possibility to chose you patronymic/matronymic the family could have two boys and two girls with different names. If you want more information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_name is very good. Heiðars mother is Helga
Norway/Ak as our resident Skandis - do you know anything about this lad - Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson - who ia apparently being chased by us and McBastard. Also - how about some of this at the Vic!
They are great!! However, i can see us getting booked for them as they take a while and the refs seem to dislike that.
You mean the goals, the penalties or the ludicrous 'celebrations'? The first two mentioned - yes, but I'd pass on the third. Maybe I'm just a GOM, but that sort of thing bores me and puts me off - just as, at yesterday's cup final, the squawking bint ruining Abide With Me and The Anthem put me off. Judging from the crowd reaction, there were quite a few there who were put off by it too. I don't remember any of that in '84 - maybe I was too drunk on emotion.
It's quite possible. But even if we don't get Tommy specifically, I reckon we'll get an experienced Premier League player. A by-product of the financial fair play rules could be that Premier League players find it more difficult to transfer down into the Football League for a year or two, because most of the high-paying clubs have already maxed out what they're allowed to spend on wages. You'd think that will mean a larger than usual amount of quality loanees available next season.
Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson is young and left IA Akranes to join Littlestrøm. He was a striker but not fantastic. He went to Norway and has had injury problems. Also he has played in the national junoir teams. His brothers are all better footballers. He may be a good player to buy work like Alezander Kacaniklic, but I am doubting that. The last player we bought from Lillestrøm was a bit of a superstar so the boy would have big boots to fill.
He is not on the locals radar yet ,.......maybe when he plays for loserpool people here may take notice.
07 May 2012 21:21:13 Watford have put a bid of £350k in for Preston winger Danny Mayor. Maybe ofh was right - this is why SD was at Bournemouth on Saturday 08 May 2012 11:30:23 With Emile Heskey believed to be exiting Aston Villa, Charlton are leading a host of clubs to secure his signature. Other clubs believed to be interested are Watford and Leicester. Interesting thought - a forward pairing of Deeney and Heskey!
You sometimes get good stuff from across here. Would Heskey be that different to Iwelumo though? His scoring rate cannot be that much better.
Westley likes his wingers - if Mayor is a right-sided player, maybe it's £350k + Yeates. I don't think it's likely we'll get Heskey, especially now Iwelumo is now showing what he can do.
Sordell back on laon - nah. Smith - ditto - yes Heskey - please god noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Winger mentioned above - ok but only if yates makes way..... Have we transfered listed anyone? Are any players out of contract? (Tiny I think....)
He's 34, he's out of contract and he's looking for a club.....what better player to partner Iwelumo and Deeney up front than Emile Heskey. C'mon what about it, would he get on in the Championship with us! I think it would be hilarious to see big Chris and him up front for us and I don't think he would be that expensive....... thoughts
no to Heskey, old, dropping down a league, not a greatly impressive scoring record. With him and Iwelumo up front I am sure we'd be passing it around neatly for their amazing movement and intricate style.....if he arrives we might be going back to hoofroyde and moonball. New pitch and all, might as well try to get some players that can use it properly. Yellow voice....really would you want E Heskey here??
