I like Yakubu, but I don't really see why we would need that type of player.
Don't know enough about Livermore but he sounds quite good.
Cox is good and I would welcome him as a signing.
Phillips...please will everyone just shut up about Phillips. He's not good.

Yes he is, and he will get better as well.

Livermore would be a great signing but I can't see it happening. He has been involved quite alot this year (mainly from the bench) and would expect him to take a more significant role at Spurs next season, as he is highly thought of there.

Having watched the Play off semi final last night I'm starting to think that Peter Whittingham would be the ideal midfield signing. I know yesterday was maybe not his best performance but he seemed to be playing a bit deeper than I had seen him previously. He showed a better defensive side to his game and I think he would slot in alongside Morgan perfectly. He would fit in with the the style off football we play and would add an extra bit of quality in the final third, in terms of goals and assists. Not sure how much he's likely to go for but anything up to £5 million would be good business IMO.

"A Southampton Scout has been spotted at FC Metalurh Donetsk apparently watching Ukrainian International Mykola Morozyuk. I hope this is just a rumour and nothing more as I haven't even heard of this bloke before today."

Saw this on Football Rumours and thought I'd copy it as someone's clearly made an effort with this piece of bullshit.

In the winter I posted a rumour on that site saying that we would be signing Craig Bellamy on loan.

And a few days later DTLW posted that rumour <laugh>

how dare you say that about Phillips- he is one of the best footballers ever produced in this country, he says so himself. Seriously, Livermore is a defensive midfielder which we need like a hole in the head, the Yak has experience but I prefer our strikers and Cox I have no idea about- but if he can run in a straight line and cross then he is better than what we have

Yep, looks to be a solid quality midfielder, can add class and bite to the midfield. I fear Hammond would make way.....but not always easy to tell who will make the transition.

That's Whittingham by the way, don't know much about Livermore other than he's rated.
