Just wondering what most people's feelings are today. As things stand I am 80/20 likely not going to renew my season pass. It is a long and expensive day for me to come and watch Hull City, I got to 37 games this season. I enjoyed so much of the Barmby football (that more than offset not getting in the play-offs) and was really looking forward to next season but I now feel like I did in the Lloyd days when I also stopped coming. The Allams will take us backwards, not forwards.
While I,m still on the fence regards the Allams/Barmby situation. The one thing i,m certain about is that since the Allams arrived we have gone forward. We were on the verge of total collapse so there was only one way could go. Unless the Allams some how liquidate the club its impossible that they can take us backwards from the day they took over.
Do you not feel the Allams have done enough to support Hull City AFC to warrant you NOT comparing them to David Lloyd? I mean, maybe I'm missing something. Were you actually around when Lloyd owned the Club? How is it possible to compare the Allams, who have spunked £50m on saving our Club, with Lloyd who did nothing but take from the club. Sometimes I wonder where so called Hull City fans come from, they are either not worthy of the name "fan" or they have IQs in single figures.
I'll keep it short and sweet. I'm not sure what to think at the moment and the next few weeks/months will be interesting, that's for sure. Even if Laws or Megson are put in charge I'll still be at as many games as work permits. That is all.
It's certainly unreasonable to compare the Allam's to Lloyd, one's saved our club, the other tried to destroy it. I'm not happy with the way this week has gone, obviously, but I'll still be there next season whatever happens, it's my calling.
My feelings are 50 / 50 at the moment. 2 sets of rich folk acting like children. I really hope common sense prevails. Have really enjoyed the football NB has the team playing. Just minor tweaks were needed this summer and Blast Off. Now.......?? only time will tell.
If i lived in Hull I would renew like a shot. But like many of us who don't we factor in the ever increasing costs of travel. Matchday travel is 3 times the cost of the ticket for me and i guess many others
Some people just can't give them free prawn sandwiches up!!! (actually nowadays it's more likely to be shrimp paste!)
My dream would be if the powers that be allowed Bob Carvers to have the food concession at the KC. I would put a lot of weight on if I was able to have pattie, chips and mushy peas every half time!!
Oh I was around in the Lloyd days, and the Needler days. The Allams are not the same as Lloyd or that other person whose name I forget (changed the club badge) but will likely screw the club up just as much. You can support a Tyrant and make him feel he in invincible or you can make a statement. It is partly because I love Hull City that my making a statement feels the right thing to do. Or maybe that does make me a so-called fan.
I shall still be doing the 500 mile round trip to the KC. Unfortunately have lost 3 of the nearest away games to me, Southampton, Portsmouth and Reading, still have Bristol City but their ground is Sh1te for away fans
2 more things, I am not that impressed they put in £41m. It's a quarter of what they have and what the hell is anyone going to do with all that money? If someone had only a tenner to his name and gave all of it to the club, that would be far more impressive. £41m from the Allams is nowt in comparison. Last time my IQ was measured it was 162. Admittedly, the ravages of Chateauneuf du Pape may have taken their toll on that.
The beer's shyte, that's what's wrong with it. I'm all for supporting all things local, but come on, this is beer we're talking about.
