Forget factoring in Luton Town's punishment. Bury's punishment wasn't factored into the West Ham decision. The fact is, the FA are full of self-righteous bluster when it comes to a little club. With a Premiership club, they simply wouldn't have the guts.

If all these charges are proven, I'd expect Newcastle to be fined maybe £500. They certainly won't be treated the same as Luton and have points deducted. A level playing field is not the way the FA works.

Credit where credit is due. I have seen some terrible WUM attempts on April Fool's over the years, this one was pretty decent.

I think it probably fooled fans from both sides. I was on high alert to wind ups though as my lass had already pulled an "I'm pregnant" april fools earlier this morning - my breathing has only just returned to normal.
