OLM could you do an Ahab and suspend TWF from this board for some of his despicable comments tonight? Not too sure too many of us would be in uproar about that decision.

Really? How bizarre. I suppose it was only a matter of time before they shut up shop and ****ed off after the council denied them the opportunity to buy the KC.

all of which might be deemed irrelevant if NB is indeed replaced by a "Sousa" type who then fails to motivate the players, has sod all inkling of tactics and who is on a hiding to nothing cos the fans want Barmby back..

why would they risk such a thing?

who's really being screwed over here? Barmby? the fans? the club?

Maybe they had no intention of giving inexperienced Barmby any financial backing, maybe he has been a sitting duck, expendable until the BIG NAME comes in.. massive risk to take as I've said.. if it backfires, we go backwards.. the owners lose value on their asset..

Hmm, I wonder what effect it would have on the polls on Thursday if they turned round tomorrow or on Wednesday and said it was over money, and that the reason they'd had to withdraw the funds promised was because of the Labour Council refusing to sell them the stadium meaning that with the FFP coming in we'd have been in breach of them if we'd decided to spend money now as the stadium revenue wouldn't count towards our turnover.

Nobody said they'd replace Barmby with a Sousa type. A Leicester fan said they replaced Pearson with Sousa because he was a bigger name internationally so they were easier to sell to foreign investors, and that maybe our owners were going to do something similar. It wouldn't matter if Barmby's replacement failed or not if the intention was to make the club more attractive to potential buyers, by the time they failed the club would have been sold by the Allams so it wouldn't be their problem to solve.

Ricardo I agree, they should **** off back to Egypt if these rumours are true. ****ing hot headed Arabs.

Cheers for the update lads, got a feeling I'll be handing my season pass back and just doing all the away games instead out of protest. Feel a **** but would feel more of a **** knowing I've given my money to those bellends.

We do not accept we are screwed at all.

Unless the owner starts stealing from the club or bankrupts it through stupidity then as a financially viable going concern it will continue to exist.

Some people will "Keep the faith" home and away, up and down the leagues, others won't. Managers and heads of football operations come and go (as do owners) but the club will live on. These owners will not imo allow us to become the next Pompey or Glasgow rangers. For this I am eternally grateful.

I'm not going to predict relegation just yet... I need at least until August before that ;)

(Though to be honest, if we did go down I honestly wouldn't care. It'd be good to have a few years back in the doldrums, before our next assault on the Championship :))

COme on lads relegation would be quite a tough feat imo. No need to talk about that or a new manager just yet.

First issue for me is the must-sale of the club. After that's sorted we can talk about managers, players and relegation

It'll all depend on how quickly the Allams' can sell, if it takes a long time then we're pretty much screwed.

I'll be missing the majority of matches over the next three seasons what with going off to Uni anyway, so hopefully we can spend 3 years rebuilding with my returning season, 2015-16 being the year we top the Championship ;)

Being dour is what I do. That's what I bring to this forum.

I'd honestly enjoy a relegation and a few years at the top of League One more than God-knows-how-long being an average team in this division.

I know feelings have been running high since the rumours came out and rightly so. But what I can't understand are the statements by some season pass holders of not renewing or sending them back. Right now i'm not working and can't afford a season pass which I had for quite a few season at one time. I'd give my right arm for a season pass so I could go to every home game to see my beloved team play. Owners, managers and players come and go, but the fans are there for life, because it's THEIR club, not literally their club obviously, but you know what I mean. Sending back or not renewing will not really hurt the owners simply because not enough would do it.
I don't think he realised how popular Barmby was going to be or how much of a decent job he did and we all realise he likes to be the popular one, he's let it be known often enough in the press what he's done for the City. In my opinion Allam is way over his head where running a football club is concerned and because of that it's us poor bloody fans who are suffering once again.

I hate to see the club I love with a passion in turmoil once again, I really thought those days were over.

Somehow I don't think he sacked Barmby because he was worried that he was slipping to only a silver medal in the Hull City popularity contest <laugh>

Reply number 500 on this thread - I think that shows the magnitude of the situation, I don't remember any such thread on the old 606 on the subject of Brown/Duffen.

Even the Tulisa sex tape thread that nearly broke the site only got 317 replies. They have had over 550,000 views of it though. <laugh>

Billy Davies FFS <doh> well if the Allams consider Barmby a big mouth then they dont know Billy Davies all that well. The venom aimed at the Allams from City fans monday will shake them to the core. What next ? The Allams suspend the fans for having the cheek to speak out ?

Talking with Burnsy outside the KC prior to the OSC night (which was partially ruined by the way) and later seeing his bit on Look North its The Allams who are out on there own here.

The fact that all 4 parties now involved are saying nothing official leads me to conclude that there is alot more going on behind the scenes. The 9am - noon Burnsy show is covering this story on tuesday. Listening figures should be well up.

Oh we already have started to be heard on monday night. Tuesday will be more of the same and this wont go away. The Allams really are now out on there own nevermind a limb.

Allams say they saved Hull City as a gift for the city of Hull. Very nice. So how about now doing the next best thing then by handing it over to us and leaving whilst they can ?
