People are upset, I get that. But some of the comments on here are beyond reprehensible.

£50M investment not enough for you? They bought the club when administration was looming. When nobody else wanted it.... and cleared the debt which came from previous mismanagement. There are maybe 5 clubs in ALL divisions that actually make money. Nobody buys a club to make money. Nobody who runs a hugely successful business buys a club thinking that it is a cash cow. They negotiated for 18 months (with nobody else interested) before buying it and would have bought the club WITH the stadium if that was their main reason for becoming owners. Yet there has to be a conspiracy behind everything these days.

That the same council that has kept Hull in the run down state that it is in now, refuse to sell the stadium and surrounding area later to people who run a hugely successful local business employing many local people is questionable. The council only built it by selling off Kingston Communications. They didn't build anything and have only ever run the City into the ground.

And now the Allam's are getting vilified when nobody has the first clue about the facts behind it because no official is saying anything. How do you all know there was not gross misconduct or worse? Because Barmby can do no wrong? Really? And why did we end up missing the playoffs if he is such an amazing manager? Local hero, yes. But great manager? That one is definitely open to question. The FACTS are NOT out there. So a little less racism, veiled threats and wild speculation might just be in order.

Let's wait for the facts before getting too excited.

Bull**** the Allams bought the club for one quid and put their collateral up against the loan which in essence is a wash as Hull City still owe them that money. They wanted the KC and land for free which would have been a great business move but it did'nt happen. They are acting like kids now chucking the toys out of the pram, they can still sell off all our best players this summer and sell the club for say 20 million which will be a loss but to bandits like these is'nt such a bad gamble because they might have made hundreds of millions if they could have borrowed against the KC and developed the area around it and sold it later. They lied a lot about Welton, and millions in Jan, and all kinds of stuff and they have barely been in charge for much over a year. They will drag our club down to the forth division before they do what is right for the city. Funny thing is they said they just wanted to give something back to city and anybody who believes that will still be shouting up the chimney telling father christmas what they want

Also anything they lose will probably be a tax write off antway so how does that make it anything but a calculated risk?

Has anyone considered the possibility that replacing Nick Barmby with an experienced manager and bringing in a head of football operations who knows something about football might not be a bad idea?

I think we'll get on just fine without him. Sick to death of the Cult of Adam Pearson, the man's been taking the piss since he came back.
Urrrggh. Dunno why I can even be arsed to reply to such bollocks but oh well.

But what the **** are you ****ing on about with the Adam Pearson? Having respect for a man who dragged the club from the depths of league 2 to where we are now, and then saving us from financial ruin.

He made a mistake with sacking Brown, he obviously thought he could attract better and failed. Failed, but with the best intentions for the club. He wasn't fueling his ego or whatever drivel you seem to come out with on here whenever I read this forum.

And Ashbee left of his own accord, surely? Preston just offered him a more appealing deal at the time. Face it, he was past his best anyway and by no means was he driven out of the club. But don't let this alter your no-knowt, arrogant argument.

I'm not sure how accurate any of that is.

I remember when the accounts were published saying I was disappointed they hadn't financed the club through a loan because I wanted there to be the potential for us to give the money back at some point in the future, and now there were going to be tax implications to them getting their money out, so someone who'd seen the balance sheet and who's opinion on those things I trust must have said it wasn't a loan.

How do you work out £20M, we're basically the same club as before the Bartlett takeover, and the club and SMC combined was only worth £12M then.

Well you've got to take positives and negatives from these things. Sure bringing in a McCarthy (yes only him) would be good for our club, but to be honest Nicky had turned me around and the way our board have treat him is an absolute disgrace. The man is Hull City through and through so I'll stick by him and not owners that couldn't give two tosses about our beloved club.

12 million, 20 million, whats 8 million between friends :-)

When all is said and done the writing has been on the wall for Adam Pearson for quite a while and Barmby was only care-taking the team that the previous manager assembled. If the owners stay all will be well in the long run.

Yes, but the players were playing for the gaffer, that being Barmby.
So what happens when all of our good players p*ss off somewhere else e.g. Leicester? Do we accept we're pretty much screwed. As a Hull City fan of the best part of 15 years I don't want to see us in the bottom league scrapping to get out again! I want us being where we belong, in the Premier League. It's been nearly 12 hours now and im still fuming.

Do you think this is the real reason or is there something else going on behind the scenes.

If the owners want out they might want to appoint a bigger name manager which will help the club sell. We did that with getting Paulo Sousa. Football wise it was stupid but it helped the club sell off the pitch

Maybe your owners are doing the same thing

you what? How the **** is Paulo Sousa a bigger name than Nick Barmby??

even if they are just wanting to replace the manager, they'll lose the fans..

Nigel Pearson doesn't look like a Mike Hunt so much now does he.. saw it coming more like..

AP and NB leaving, sad to think that there's one idiot "fan" who must be over the ****ing moon right now... I'm sure he'll recognise himself.

I feel sick. THey need to go, get rid of the cancer asap even if it means struggling next year. I feel so sorry for Nicky who is one of our own and took a job with hesitance and now this? **** me. Let's find a buyer and bring NB back he deserves more than this treatment. He should sue if the reasons are as pathetic as they sound.

Obviously we need some official statements to come out and mainly the truth, although will we ever know for sure I don't know... but the worst thing at the moment is that I presume most fans like me feel betrayed. The amount of compliments and thanks we gave the Allams and all that for it to end up like this? Not saying they always had bad intentions but it's not looking good.

Well he said Sousa was bigger than Nigel Pearson. But as you've asked, as a player Sousa won 2 Champions Leagues in consecutive seasons (Juve and Dortmund), two domestic titles, and 3 domestic cups before his 27th birthday, and despite the next 5 years seeing him only play about 60 games at club level due to injury he'd collected 50 caps for Portugal by the time he retired. For an international investor that's better than Barmby's record.

Right as this thread has turned into yet again another mass pages full of twfs anti Pearson crap (that **** really needs to be banned he just makes the place a mess) which I seriously can't be arsed to trawl through, can someone please give me the latest, facts and speculation please. Short and simple will do. Thanks.

Yes, you're probably right in some ways Ricardo, but I (like many I suppose) am fuming right now.. sorry to the Leicester fan, no offence.. I better go to bed, calm down and see what tomorrow brings..

hang on though...the only let-down in your argument is you're talking about "playing" careers.. Sousa's won all that yeah fine, both Sousa and Barmby are/were inexperienced MANAGERS.

Something has happened between Barmby and the club.

Nobody knows anything for sure as the club have said they are unable to comment on the speculation at the moment.

The concensus is that Barmby has been suspended for asking for funds through the media. From somewhere 12th April has come up as the date, and the HDM article from that day is the link I've given in post #473 but I don't know where that selection has come from, it might just be someone selecting an article as it seems the most likely (I thought the comments around then were the most likely but didn't know the date myself, and I was thinking of a radio interview)

There'll be more information in due course, but until any actual facts are out in public the popular position to take is that because they haven't said anything different the Allams are ****s who should **** off to Egypt.

Oh, and with nothing public the follow on rumours are that AP is leaving in protest, the club is up for sale, and we're selling all our players for a bag of peanuts and a Haribo because they're all pissed off. (Rosenior's off the record quote at the OSC awards dinner was just that "if it's true it's a ****ing joke" so they don't know much more than we do)

are you seated comfortably BOB? good..

1) Barmby has been suspended by the club for "comments" he's made to the media
2) The Allams are putting HCAFC up for sale
3) Adam Pearson is reportedly quitting/has quit
4) The club have issued a statement saying they have no comment to make

And if you take out being internationally known as a player then Barmby would be no bigger a name as a manager than I would be. It's clearly bollocks because there'll be players out there that would like the idea of playing for a former England international more than a non entity, just like being a two times winner of the Champions League who's played in Portugal, Italy, and Germany would attract players more than having once won the UEFA Cup and having spent your entire career in England.
