    Only thing I've heard that seemed odd was saying that we had deals lined up and just needed the green light to complete them. If there's no transfer fund it would have to be free transfers and that would equate to them having been tapped up (as we can't speak to them until June 1st unless their current club lets us). If it's that then it could be the case that they've let him see out the season to avoid too much upheaval but are now trying to make out it's been Barmby speaking to players without the club's permission so that we can avoid any punishment over it.

    It's going a long way on assumptions so I'm not in any way saying I think that's what's happened, it's just the only way I can see that anything I've heard him say could be something that would get him suspended.

    Do you think this is the real reason or is there something else going on behind the scenes.

    If the owners want out they might want to appoint a bigger name manager which will help the club sell. We did that with getting Paulo Sousa. Football wise it was stupid but it helped the club sell off the pitch

    Maybe your owners are doing the same thing
