There's still a load of unhappy locals at the ban, especially the little kiosks that can't afford 40k for a Tobaccos licence and now have to make a living on 50cent lighters and Fanta!

Our local 'English' bar (where i get the internet when we are over there) has those plastic blinds for their terrace that are always down over the winter. Last few times we have been over its been so cold that it has been all closed in and walking through there to get in to the bar is the opposite of an air lock. I'm surprised no one has died from carbon monoxide poisoning! I am sure its illegal as it is an enclosed space but they don't seem to care.

It's completely legal to have a fully enclosed space as long as the walls aren't permanent.

Spanish law for you mate, as sensible as a pink labrador!
 
It is a strange one, well it is for me.

Like I said I smoked for 25 years ish (i am 40 tomorrow), but for me I kept smoking just to piss the PC brigade off, everywhere you look or turn its, eww you shouldnt smoke, it will kill you, stop smoking, Me **** Off its my life, i can do what I want.

Woke up day before the derby, thought, ****e, the cigs have got me, im not in control, they are, exactly the opposite thought of what I had previously. Nothing gets me and holds me to ransom, so I quit. I am in control, not them.

I dont have anything against those that do smoke, as I know what its like, but I do wish my wife would pack in, she has only been smoking for 10 years, but I still wish she would stop.

and btw doing it for anyone else doesnt work, i have tried to quit for me kids before, didnt work, for my wife before, didnt work, for me and being a selfish git, so far so good, but even I know there is plenty of time for me to start smoking again.
 
Packed in 6 years ago, just decided I wanted to pack in, not for my health, not for the expense, I just wanted to pack in smoking, try not to think about it, just do it & when you fancy a cigarette, just think, I've come this far, it would be a shame to spoil it, good luck, I wish you well.
 
I got all my cigars, even big cohibas and popped them on a disposable BBQ, lit it and popped the vid on Facebook.

Never touched one since
 
Heard about a lad once who was hypnotised into thinking tabs tasted like licking dog's arses.. I kid you not!
How the hell he knew what that was like god only knows.
 
I quit by the simple expedient of going to Andorra. ***s are dirt cheap there, or they were in 1988, and I smoked meself sick. Stopped enjoying the weed after a week on 3-4 packs a day...
 
Once I finished my baccy, I will quit smoking... how am I going to do that? easy, I'm just not going to buy any more.
