For me Ramires was the star of the 2 legs. Especially the first leg, absolute quality. These two fixtures have turned him into a man imo, a player I now have massive respect for. The same player I didn't rate too highly earlier in the season. Anyway, congratulations Chelsea
I was about to say that, Torres scored the goal imo, taking nothing away from Ramires as it was the whole game that got the result. However he did kill off the game at the most vital moment. The goal itself was superb. I am not a Chelsea fan but i was roaring at the tellie when he scored. Really really please for Torries and the club. They thoroughly deserved it, every single player on the team (apart from Terry) played their socks off. Well Done Di Matteo.
True but they still got the job done despite going down to 10 men and being given a joke penalty against them though totsfan I dont think it matters for spurs anyway. You will come 6th
If Chelsea plan to play the same way in the final then Drogba should get the nod- if they look to come out and play a bit then Torres would be my choice.
Ramires was class but Torres deserves a lot of credit given his background and the pressure of that run. His first touch was sublime and it was a chance that the Torres under AVB would have Rosenthaled into the stands. RDM needs to play him with Drogba in the final as they need to go all out given the four suspensions..
I reckon Drogs will be playing centre back with Torres the way things are going!! Both goals were amazing and I really think we'd have got beat heavilly had Ramieres not scored just before half time. It gave us something to defend in the 2nd half and changed the whole context of the match. But... I really don't think I've celebrated a goal so much in my life as when Nando put that in. It confirmed our progression to the final in a game no one gave us a prayer in and scored by a guy whose been given so much stick and attention these last 15 months or so. What a night for him, the rest of the players, staff and fans. Dare we dream??
And if he had, it still wouldn't have made any difference! Ramires changed the game and scored the actual winner. I just feel he's been forgotten about by the majority simply because of the 50mill price tag of the, mostly the the entire season, underperforming striker. Poor lad.
