I have Torres's name and number on my chelsea shirt. I was praying so much when he was 1 on 1 and for us what a great feeling when he scored words can't describe it.
Great touch to bring it down, moved it, had a glance to see where the defender was, took it to the right... And the rest is... Hang on... Apparently we don't have any of that...
If Real get through tomorrow Chelsea must play Torres from the start. It might be destiny for him to score the goal that beats them in the final because there's a mutual hate between him and them. Check out the hate from the madrid fans and the way Torres shoved his goal and his name in their faces.
PMK I reckon Drogba will get the nod, but that finish tonight from Nando was just exceptional...the first touch was almost as good as the goal...
They'll expect Drogba to start, but i reckon if Torres starts he'll play out of his skin against them and tbf we as Liverpool supporters know what he's capable of. If on the other hand Bayern get through all the pressure will be on them to win on home soil,so its all good for Chelsea. But after we played(and won)the final at the olympic stadium in Rome against Roma UEFA promised that a finalist would never again have home advantage so what the **** happened on that one?,they should wait until the semi final before choosing the final's venue.
Am I missing something here? Yeah, good goal and all...but people raving about him like he scored the goal which sent you through to the final. He didn't. He scored a 90th minute goal which simply confirmed your progression. Surely it's Ramires who should be making the headlines? Quality goal at that stage of the game and was the one who really gave you the belief that you could go through.
Its the Spanish connection and the Athletico/Real rivalry jj. Im still pissed off at him for leaving us and his comments when he got there but imo hes made for a starting place in the final.
Going through what we did for nigh on 50 minutes against the best team in the world with 10 players it was very much the winner.
Ramires' goal was exceptional, and gave us a huge lift and the spirit to defend in the way we did...nothing will ever take that away from that moment. But... When Barca are pressing 10 men into your half and your underfire £50m striker, who has a habit of not scoring, breaks away in the 90th minute, one on one with the keeper and scores in that fashion in the nou camp...
In all seriousness your spot on mate Had that of been the 2'6" penalty taker had scored that Platini would be ordering a litre of his gene pool to drink and awarded it goal of the decade. A goal to win any semi in the world's best cup compo.
Only 2 English clubs have beaten Barca at the Nou Camp in European competition(one twice).Chelsea and ? Great game tonight, well played and well done CFC. Night lads
