Sometimes you make totally pointless comments and other times you are a genius.

I can write what I want, you can dislike what you want. Simples. :)

...and the rest of the footballing world are delighted that Barcelona lost, because they will probably batter Chelski now as a result to make up for it ;)

If we don't I'll be the first to bump this thread to make you feel a bit embarrassed.

I will be positive if we make the right transfers and we incorporate a Plan B when it isn't going our way.

Hey, I am a Saints supporter, red and white striped blood in my veins, I neither do rational or logical, these things have never featured in a Saints season yet and if we go up I don't expect any change. Let's get positive about the last match and whatever the outcome discuss it ad nauseam afterwards.

Seeing as we're all listening to Joe, I'll add another couple of thoughts: let's all try and be nice to each other eh? Our nerves are going a bit right now obviously, but we're all in the same boat. Lay off.

Imsaintsme - Can it. TSS is a good poster and always makes good points. And yes, "simples" is an extremely annoying thing to say. It was never funny. Bloody meerkats.

I presume when you mentioned the 'old women' you actually meant the men:laugh: I'm generally one of the happy clappy brigade who thinks it will be alright on the night. Have been down in the dumps after Saturday's result, but think over the whole season the team has been fantastic and I want us to get over the line if we have to crawl on our knees. If promoted, I think we will lose quite a few games, but also have a few memorable ones. Hopefully, if we play as a team as we have done this season we will stay up. Cortese says we won't be relegated whilst he's at the club, so presumably if it happens he will do the honourable thing and commit hari cari. We now know that the Championship is not the end of the world as well.

    Thank you Joe.

I like meerkats. I really do. The real ones, I mean. I just don't like animated versions of them in an overused joke which was funny for most of one showing of the first advert. I grinned like everyone else. I even grinned at simples. Then the next time was the first time it grated. It was all downhill after that. Then people would grinningly ask...

Hey, have you seen that funny meerkat adv..?

    YES..!

And just think how many times they've shown the advert since. Thank goodness I barely watch any telly nowadays otherwise I would fear for the condition of my TV set.

Everyone reacts differently to nervs and how they react to a Saints defeat or win. To simply say all. Moaners are depressive individuals is wrong. People just show their passion in different ways.

As Joe said you have the over happy clappers, the people that moan when we have played poorly and the people that moan all the time . Each to their own I say everyone is entitled to have a moan, aslong as they save it for the forum and don't vent it at the game.

As for saying will the people that are moaning now will find it harder 'if we go up'. Well in a way that is false, we all know the Prem will be a much harder playground. So our expectations will be much lower, so we will expect to lose more often. Whoever doesn't is either crazy or on drugs, all I want is 'if we go up' we put up a fight and stay up.

I shall now make a thread about moaning about people moaning that people may moan more if we go up <ok>

I think there is so much doommongering because we are so close, and we do deserve what is hopefully coming to is. It's the proximity to something so amazing - it creates the fear of some unlikely (but possible) circumstance is in most people's minds.
I haven't been on them, but I bet there is a similar proportion of negative posters on Manchester City's board and Newcastle's board, who both are so very close to the relatively recently unimaginable. Spurs too, I imagine. But I reckon not so much on Stoke, Norwich or Swansea's, though they lose their fair share of games.

I reckon next season, once the expectation changes (from chasing something history-changing, to avoiding something a bit more likely), we will see more of a convergence of hopes and beliefs on the forum. Can never hope to change those people with a negative outlook, though, and is no point begrudging them or the overly-positive, as they will all always exist. Enjoy the all-positive moments, like I hope we'll see this Saturday. Or am I being too positive?

I know he is. I stated that he can be a genius. I just find comments on grammar, spelling etc irrelevant. Not everyone has the same upbringing and some of the words my iPhone predictor text throws at me are way off the mark.

I also agree that simples is a tad annoying but I like to read peoples comments about Saints and then respond in kind about what they have said rather than pick holes in their choice of word.

Realism beats overly optimist bullshit any day of the week , they are called opinions as well elsewhere , if Adkins was my boss he would of been told as much as well , no psycho babble ****e just give me the truth .

I just think don't get too high when we win, don't get too down when we lose. Boro is over, take four positives, one negative, draw a blue line under it and move on. Remember pressure makes diamonds and all we can do is get on the bus, control the controllables and go out a win a game of football. It's as simple as that.

I'm sure we've all heard this before......

    You b*****d. <laugh>

Btw, ImSaintsme. Thank you for the genius comment earlier. It's one thing to be hauled over the coals for being a nitpicking prig, which I accept I can be, but it's worth it for the compliment.

I do believe that when I am in full agreement with someone I am meant to say:

    :emoticon-0148-yes:This.

Is that alright or do you think I should take a little time and respect the poster by explaining just how much I agree with him and why I do?

I wouldn't want to break any of the unwritten rules for posting on this thread like being far to verbose!

Realism = We will probably lose to Manchester United, but may pull off a fantastic result.
Negativity = We will lose to Manchester United, will never win again, Adkins out, and team are rubbish.
Optimism (also known as Cortese-ism)= We will thrash Manchester United, storm the League, and take the title.

There will be times next season (see my optimism there) when we will feel any of the above, but the main thing is to be behind the team at all times.

    Come on Leicester!!
