I'm well aware of Southampton's credentials, history and potential. However, None of them get anywhere near that of Sunderland's. So if he takes the piss out of my club then I will respond.
I don't think he means soton will be after him lol, gyan wouldn't go to soton they are not in the premiership mate.
Aye wasn't bad. If his early long range shot had flew in, I could have been in A&E with a heart attack.
For the first time I can remember I actually cheered when a goal was scored against England. Hope Gyan can repeat it against Man C.
Yeah one of the first times I have been happy actually at a goal scored against us aswell mate.# Mad it is but Love Ghana and Gyan.
This craic about Wellbeck getting grief in Ghana is horse ****. He's a broad Manc and Englishman, born and raised here, the fact he considered Ghana is a compliment to how far they have come and how well respected they are as a nation. Wellbeck is English, end of.
I'm aware his parents are Ghanaian mate, but someone who has lived here his whole life, gone through our education system, learned to kick a ball in this country and has the broadest Manc accent i have ever heard just about (i lived in Manchester for a year too!), is English in my book. He obviously felt the same.
I fail to see what the Ghana fans were whining about, I seen a few people in their end who definitely weren't Ghanaian.
I think Gyan's attempt to get him to play for Ghana was only half serious anyway, Wellbeck's been in the England set up at various age groups for a while, finding his feet in the Premier was always going to push him on. We all said he could get in the England squad this season, delighted it happened.
Just watched the replay and a lot of England flags were waving and the fans jumping about when the ball hits the net. Methinks quite a few Mackems could may have been pleased for Asamoah down the smoke.
excellent performance from all the sunderland lads tonight...that boatang lad they had in the middle looked handy..maybe bruce should take a looksie..
I've seen him a few times for Getafe mate, and he's been truly awful, wreckless, but he did ok tonight. The boot in Milners dish was par for the course, although he could have done Milner a favour and kicked him harder. Milner is not beautiful, and a 'face modification' may have been a blessing.
Can I just say lads, what a joy it was to see an international team have so much joy when scoring a goal! English players are so passionless its sickening, the Ghana players went mental, each one of them should have been booked(the rules) but I am glad they weren't. It was only a friendly as well!
That Vorsah bloke was an absolute wall!! Went for an England corner and nobody had initially gone to mark Carroll then Vorsah strolls over with a good inch or two over Carroll not including the hair!!
