Claiming to be a fan of a certain club but not only posting on other team's boards to wind them up is pretty gay. Don't worry we have a couple from Leeds and Leicester who only post on here to tell us how **** our team and City are.
It's not about the game as such, I just think Wigan are a poor club that belong in league 2. Don't cry about it it's my opinion, nothing more. I believe the only person I may have upset is strovolos, who I believe is a patronising, arrogant bafoon.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when it's simply ******ed, that's when people get pissed off. I think Wigan have had a few lucky escapes in the past, but at an absolute minimum should be a top half championship side.(I'm talking over the next 10 years, not this season.) How the hell you can say that any PL side is crap enough to deserve three relegation's in a row is just ridiculous beyond description. That said, feel free to continue to piss off Strov. I don't know what's happened to him but in the past three weeks or so he's turned into an absolute ****.
It's more to so with the chairman and the League 1 standard attendances why I dislike Wigan. Whelan has been on SSN today ranting on how Fartinez is going to be managing one of Europes top clubs, I don't think so; not with a 20% win ratio. Without that deluded old man Wigan would be nowhere near the top flight. With regards to strovolos he basically told me any point I made was invalid because I'm a 'newbie', regardless of my experience following city and reading forums such as this.
I don't like Dave Whelan either, but you can hardly call their attendances League One standard, they're the same as ours.
Fair point, though for a premier league club it is poor, and this is the same club that took 89 fans to Spurs. We averaged about 23/24k in that division and could have sold a lot more for some games if we had the capacity to do so.
After two seasons of doing nothing, maybe just surviving and getting battered week in week out in that division our attendances would have fallen dramatically. This season hasn't been too bad but the last few results have effected the crowds dramatically. Wgan have some massive clubs on their door step. We whinge that there are part time Leeds, Man Utd, Liverpool fans in the Hull area but they'll be even more of them over there. Plus the rugby factor is even bigger cos Wigan Warriors are actually successful and do it on the pitch & aren't just dreaming like FC fans.
