i really liked scott allan when we played portsmouth (home club west brom) adds speed and movement to our fairly static midfield- would pick up alot of cards though

I'm sure I should of put in an extra Gk but im sure you can get emergency loans in the Prem if we had a massive injury crisis in goal.

Steeeeve gives us that bit of pace that we lack at times, and urgency. Can see why he isnt everyone's cup of teaaaaaa, though :)
 
We will need 3-5 players next season.I'd like us to sign Whittingham,he is a class player.

How many of our players have actually played in the PL? I count Davis, Richardson, Fox, Cork, Butterfield, Barnard, Jaidi, Connolly. That's quite a lot of experience, I think.
 
I can't remember Barnard or Richardson having premier league experience. Besides Jaidi and Connolly will be on their way out too.

We'll have to survive on relegated teams scraps. Doyle, Reo-Coker, Jarvis, Leon Best?, Hennessey, Corluka and Bassong - bit of ambition.

According to reports in Lancashire:

Former Portsmouth striker Aruna Dindane is reportedly interesting Blackburn Rovers.

The Al-Gharafa forward is understood to be on the transfer radar of Rovers, West Ham United and Southampton.
 
Why do we want to chop and change our team so drastically. Look at Norwich and Swansea, they kept their squad and added shrewdly throughout the season, that way introducing a few players at a time and avoiding geling issues which many previously promoted teams (and QPR) have suffered from.

Personally I think we need a full back and a midfielder and possibly a centre back.

Richardson was the Leeds captain when they were in the Prem, I think. Barney, it's not really experience, but he played several games for Spurs.

Well said <applause> Make too many changes and the squad doesn't gel, look how we've done business in the past, slowly introduced players, making subtle changes etc. Splashing the cash isn't in Cortese's nature and I doubt Adkins would have it either.
