i really liked scott allan when we played portsmouth (home club west brom) adds speed and movement to our fairly static midfield- would pick up alot of cards though

How many of our players have actually played in the PL? I count Davis, Richardson, Fox, Cork, Butterfield, Barnard, Jaidi, Connolly. That's quite a lot of experience, I think.
I can't remember Barnard or Richardson having premier league experience. Besides Jaidi and Connolly will be on their way out too. Why do we want to chop and change our team so drastically. Look at Norwich and Swansea, they kept their squad and added shrewdly throughout the season, that way introducing a few players at a time and avoiding geling issues which many previously promoted teams (and QPR) have suffered from. Personally I think we need a full back and a midfielder and possibly a centre back.
Richardson was the Leeds captain when they were in the Prem, I think. Barney, it's not really experience, but he played several games for Spurs.
Well said Make too many changes and the squad doesn't gel, look how we've done business in the past, slowly introduced players, making subtle changes etc. Splashing the cash isn't in Cortese's nature and I doubt Adkins would have it either.
