As our friend so "eloquently" puts it, they will struggle against Barca unless their game goes up a couple of levels. Heartening to see Terry not last the 90. Could be England's most charming footballer needs a rest on Sunday week, if he is to face Barca. He usually manages to return from the dead to put in a performance against us but 90+ minutes of Wembley turf draining the energy out of him might be just too much. Torres on the other hand looked pretty lively...
They will certainly not be alone in that regard over the last few years.... A couple of prime examples come to mind... But as I said - the Chavs have made it that far this year without ever looking anything close to their best. A Chelsea victory is difficult to imagine I know, but i just hope that Barca dont imagine they can turn up and win: there is a danger that the likelihood of a final against Madrid might distract them.
Once again, Mourinho is mouthing off about Barca instead of talking about Real's performance. Talk about obsessed...
yeah and the day his team beats Barca..he wont be crying about them..which just goes to show......p.s if the 2nd is a pen then there should be between 5 and 10 in a match every match.
He probably will, let's be honest. Naturally, our press missed the point and ran headlines of him writing off Chelsea, as opposed to him trying to influence the referees in a game he's not even involved with. Frankly, UEFA are hoping for a Barca/Bayern final, rather than have the tone lowered by Mourinho and the tactics his team will deploy to try and stop the referee doing his job and, as a secondary tactic, prevent Barca from playing - due to injury.
as i watched Chelsea yesterday all i kept on saying to everyone else in the room was that i cant wait to play them next week..i believe we have the ability to beat them and quite comfortably at that..however we are Spurs and when a gift horse looks us in the mouth we usually punch it in the face and slam the door shut!
Idiot. Or talking bollocks! I've had my ribs cracked three times - it's agony! If he really does have cracked ribs, he could never play without a massive pain killing injection. Even then, he'd have to be so careful, one knock in the wrong place, and he'll have a punctured lung!
Definite idiot. Wigan might play some nice football, but they've got a couple of bruisers in their side and I doubt they'll think twice about giving Terry a nice welcome into their weekend fixture. What a stupid thing to say.
Exactly. Now they know that, he's going to be targeted in that area! Backing in by the strikers with sly elbows in the stomach / chest will probably be seen.
