Dear Nick,

I saw you at today's game and wondered if you are OK? I couldn't help but notice a puzzled look on your face when we all started shouting and jumping about, if you check, it was around the 8 minute mark.

Now after mulling it over I think it was roughly when that round rollie thing ended up in that white rectangular thing with netting round it!

Nick, it's called a goal? And the point of football is to get that round thing in that netty thing as many times as you can, you'll find if you buy some players who can do this on a regular basis then the atmosphere at the KC will improve, more fans will turn up and you might even become appreciated.

As it is I'm not sure if it's worth spending my hard earned cash when petroleum £1.50 a cap full and my house insurance needs paying? I used to enjoy going to watch that round rollie thing go in the netty thing, please can you ask about to see if anyone can help you out????

Pretty sure Nick isn't delighted with the strikers situation.

I think he wanted players in January, but was pretty much told that funds weren't available, and that that was the line to tow.

I think he was restricted to loans, hence Josh King, who increasingly looks decent.

He's done his best in a situation where he had little room for manoeuvre. IMO

im not sure there was a problem, 1 shot on target in 32 minutes against ten men is a good effort....
and i dont mind trying new tactics, tho i dont think passing it along the back line for 5 minutes as 90 minutes approaches will catch on with other teams tho.

How do you propose fitting your spending spree in with the Financial Fair Play rules?

If we'd signed Sharp on a 3 1/2 year contract in January, for the FFP 75% of that fee would be taken forward past this year, and counted as spending in the next 3 seasons. Next season our parachute payment is half what it is this season, so maybe the Allams are ensuring that our long term prospects of promotion aren't going to be screwed over by incurring a large non-cash loss next season. Ghilas, McShane, and Olofinjana alone are going to be approaching a combined cost of about £4M in the accounts next year. (that's wages and next year's share of their transfer fees)

EDIT: For clarity that is £4M cost, not £4M cash being handed over. Like if you buy a car for £10k and scrap it after 5 years. Even if you paid all £10k up front it's cost you £2k a year. The accounts are done like that for players, but obviously they don't know when they're going to sell a player or extend his contract so all the transfer fees are divided by the length of the contract they sign.

Sensational goal that, goes to show practice makes perfect, said himself he does it in training. As for whether Nicky was told there was no cash to spend, I'm not sure on that one. I've no doubt at all Nicky will be bringing in quite a few players in the summer in any case no matter where we end up.
 
That post makes me cringe. Nicks done a fantastic job since he took over, we have a young team thats only going to get better, im sure it was expected by most that stewart and brady would chip in more but sadly that hasnt happened, however we will finish the season in a respectable position and the team has gained some invaluable experience in being a playoff contender. Yes there is a lack of goals but we play better football than we ever have in my time and that will set us up nicely going in to next season.
 
Keep to your footballing principals Nick and dont let some of the so called fans get to you. Never heard so much rubbish come from so many cluleless fans @ Lesta yesterday. Got talking to some older Lesta fans with sense and they said how well we knocked the ball about we all know we do. Its just that final killer pass and finisher that we know we lack. (Boy did we miss Koren yesterday though) That will be sorted in the summer whatever league we are in. NB has this squad so close to being a dominate force. I say keep this lovely football going, its a joy to watch. As for what Negative Nigel did yesterday good luck to him. We've seen it all before here and i for one took it as a massive complement when he took Nugent off for Bamba. Nick was correct. On the day we were not good enough to get anything from the game overall. Harsh lessons learned again but long term it wont hurt us. The next 4 games Pompey(a) Coventry(h) Millwall(a) Middlesboro(h) are all winnable but we need to get back to the Cardiff performance and not the slap dash ways of Lesta. Far to sloppy for my liking and we got what we deserved in the end. Message to Dawson (who is playing well overall) when a winger looks dangerous outside of our box Take him down. Do not give him(in this case Dyer) room or let him shoot. If you have to Take one for the team do so. Its does help everyone in the end.

imo,, i would rather watch Hull City every week playing the football we do than boring Lesta. There overpaid players are going nowhere and got very lucky on the day. end of. Nick shared the fans frustrations at the end and Fryatt spoke alot of sense as well. But its over and we move on to Pompey next.

NB looking at the bigger picture. IMO he should have brought on Dudgeon instead fo Cullen and moved Stewart into the middle. It was a hot and draining day and Dudgs pace would have done the bald one (konchesky). Lessons to be learned yes but not all gloom and doom as some would have you think. We were the only ones out there actually trying to play football. No wonder there were so many empty seats in the home areas.

Look there are thousands of 'so called supporters' like me, incidentally I've been going since 1982, who are incredibly frustrated by this seasons performances. I haven't done so but I'm going to check average goals scored under Pearsons charge and compare to Barmby's. In all honesty I can't remember a more Barron period.

I'll leave you with this quote 'only an idiot keeps repeating the same process and expects to get different results'

We need to change things be it style of play and/or players. I would much rather see a fast paced attacking threat and conceed a few goals than the slow it down, past it sidewards, backwards and back to the opposition.

My post was tongue in cheek, and yes thousands of so called supporters are very frustrated at the current performances. Oh and I know which league we will be in this year, your optimism is admirable.
