Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dawson Evans McKenna King Brady Stewart (All three can play along that line) McLean I think this could do, good attacking players, capable of doing some damage providing they hit the target and the back of the net.
Brady seemed to relish it when he played in behind the strikers against Peterborough. Nowt against Cairney, but i think Brady could be more threatening in around the box.
great opportunity for Brady, he's capable of running a game, he did vs Ipswich in the cup & Posh mentioned above
uhm... if Koren is out for a month surely this is the PERFECT opportunity to change formation and play 2 strikers ! 4-4-2 until koren comes back mckenna & evans in the middle, whoever on the wings and 2 effing strikers !
Mannone Rosie Hobbs Chester Dawson King McKenna Evans Brady McLean Simpson I know this won't happen, it's just what I'd like to see. Switch Fryatt in for Simpson though, and there's something NB may consider. Although, come to think of it, didn't Barmby mention something about Simpson not making the squad because he couldn't play lone striker and couldn't play on the wing, therefore he was fighting for Koren's space? Surely he won't just stick him in there?
I'd go with Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dawson McKenna Cairney King Brady Stewart (or McLean) Fryatt
GK. Mannone RB. Rosenior CB. Hobbs CB. Chester LB. Dawson LM. Brady DCM. McKenna DCM. Evans RM. McLean CF. King (sat a little deeper allowing him space to turn and run at their defence) CF. Fryatt (the further forward of the two) This sounds like madness, but in the first half against Southampton, King looked like he was screaming out to be down the middle, plus, I think McLean and Brady do offer more protection for our fullbacks (especially if Rosenior is planning on having another 'off day' . Can't afford another performance like Tuesday night from him!). With Brady, McLean and King in the mixer, it would allow us to hit teams on the break quickly.
Based on the comments at the PC meeting last night, I think it's safe to say that the chances of the formation changing are absolutely zero.
Tell you what I would be tempted to do. I might bring Joe Dudgeon in and play him along side Paul McKenna. That would free-up Corry Evans to move up the field and play the Koren role, which I think he is more than capable of doing. Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dawson McKenna Dudgeon King Evans Brady Fryatt
AGREED. But whats with this out for a month idea ? Is it confirmed by the club or simply speculation by someone ? Hamstrings are not to be messed with that for sure.
No, it's not confirmed but if his injury is bad enough to need a scan, it aint looking good and 4 weeks is probably the average recovery time for a 31 year old with a pulled ham.
Maybe, but do we know officially how bad it is ? Has anything been confirmed was my point. It could be longer than a month if bad enough.
NB said at yesterday PC that he was having a scan and he couldn't say any more until the results come back. Hamstrings can end careers if bad enough, which effectively happened to Michael Owen. Or they can be just slight strains that just need a few days rest. In answer to your question, nobody knows for certain, yet.
Yes i heard that part. Its basically up in the air then at the moment. The thread header appears somewhat ahead of its time at the moment from what has been confirmed.!!! Fingers crossed RK is back for the Easter weekend then or at least one of those games.
Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dawson McKenna Evans King Cairney Brady Fryatt Interesting point that someone mentioned above that NB stated Simpson is fighting for Koren's place. We may see Jay on the bench?
